Reviewers in 2026 quote chapter prices from roughly 26 to 90 coins, climbing as a book goes on, and one warns that with auto-unlock switched on, $10 of coins can go in minutes. The free route is slow: a small daily check-in, reading-time tasks and rewarded ads that start at a few points and fall to 1 point per ad. Several reviewers say earned bonus expires within two to seven days. Prices are regional and can change.

The Mini tab and a $19.99 weekly pass that skips full novels

The bottom bar holds five tabs: Library, Discover, Mini, Rewards and Me. Mini is home to the BINGE short stories, complete romances sized for a single sitting. Reviewers since April 2026 most often put the weekly pass at $19.99, and several in September say it opened only Mini stories while chapters of full-length serials stayed behind coins; one quotes support confirming that the pass includes no coins. The listing says plans renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and the terms rule out refunds for unused days. For short reads the pass can make sense; halfway through a 200-chapter serial, it does not help.

Stary Pte. Ltd., tracking identifiers and the Delete My Account switch

Google Play lists the developer as Dreame Media; the App Store seller is Stary Pte. Ltd., registered in Singapore, while the official contact page gives an office address in Shenzhen, China. Writer Beware counts at least 16 apps under Stary, and the same Play account publishes Sueñovela and Yugto. Apple's privacy label lists identifiers used to track you across other companies' apps and sites. The Play data form says device IDs are shared for analytics and advertising, and in-app messages may be used for marketing. Two controls sit under Me > Settings > Terms and Policy: Customized Ads Recommendation, which turns off personalised ads, and Delete My Account. Deletion is permanent, and the terms say purchased chapters go with it.

Final sales, a 30-day error window and the Writer Beware alert

The terms of service, dated September 18, 2025, treat every payment as final. The one exception is a charge made in error, which must be reported to support-dreame@stary.com within 30 days. Disputes go to binding arbitration at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, before a single arbitrator. Writers face a separate contract. In a June 2022 alert, updated in June 2025, Victoria Strauss of Writer Beware found that Stary's exclusive contract claims rights for the full term of copyright and lets an author leave after 36 months only if a title earned under $200, later cut to $50, and the money is repaid. Her 2025 update reports writers whose termination requests were refused.
