Best AI Style and Interior Design Apps, Ranked
AI style apps promise two things: to dress you from the clothes you already own, and to redecorate a room from a single photo. The wardrobe side has a
Home AI, from the Izmir studio HubX, restyles a photo of a room, garden or house front: pick a room type, a style and a colour palette, and an outside AI provider returns a redesigned version of the same view. It swaps finishes, furniture and decor rather than drawing to-scale floor plans. The catch is billing: free use is three credits a day, US weekly plans reach $14.99, and charge-after-trial complaints dominate recent reviews.
Specs come from the official store listings and were last checked on 2026-10-01. Developers change pricing and requirements — check the store page before installing.
In replies to Google Play reviews throughout September 2026, the developer says the free version includes three credits a day; the official FAQ calls it limited free usage next to weekly and yearly plans. The most-helpful complaints describe the PRO screen returning after the first design or blocking the app outright, and one App Store reviewer found that unticking the "First 3 days free" box simply switched the offer to a $39.99 year. Every design runs through the same steps: a photo, a room type such as Kitchen or Bathroom, a style such as Modern or Luxury, and a colour palette. Three daily credits are enough to judge the output on your own room before starting a trial.
Room Design takes one photo and returns a restyled version of the same view, changing furniture, wall colour, flooring, lighting and decor; garden and exterior modes work the same way. Discover, described in the official FAQ, applies a curated reference style to your own room. Wall painting relies on a brush you drag over the area, and reviewers say it does not find walls by itself. Play reviews show the limits: invented windows, a table placed across a door and moving boxes turned into decor. For measured layouts, Planner 5D draws 2D floor plans, converts them to 3D and adds an AR room planner, while Google's Gemini app lets you keep editing one image turn by turn.
The US App Store lists ten PRO purchases: weekly plans from $4.99 to $14.99, one sold as Weekly with Trial, and yearly plans at $19.99 and $39.99. App Store reviewers in September 2026 report $14.99 a week once a three-day trial ends. Prices are regional and can change. Billing runs through Apple or Google, so cancelling happens in store settings; deleting the app stops nothing. HubX's terms say a trial can be used once and converts automatically, purchases are final and refunds follow store policy, and a May 2025 developer reply says the team cannot process refunds itself. Charges after a cancelled trial are the most repeated complaint on both stores, including Google Play reviews from late September 2026.
Generation happens off the phone. HubX's privacy policy says images and prompts go to outside AI providers, naming Nanobanana, the nickname of Google's Gemini image model, and sets no fixed deletion period for images. On Google Play's data safety form, the developer declares photos shared with third parties, device IDs used for advertising, data not encrypted in transit and no way to request deletion, although the store text promises end-to-end encryption. Apple's label says identifiers and usage data may track you. Rights are murky too: the terms allow individual, non-commercial use and never say who owns a generated image, yet the official FAQ pitches client presentations to designers. DecAI's policy, by comparison, deletes uploads within 7 days.

We score it 5.6: Room Design turns one real photo into polished restyles of rooms, gardens and exteriors, but structural errors, a weekly paywall and a thin privacy record hold it back. Take it if you want quick mood images for a specific room and can test three free credits a day first. Skip it if you need measured floor plans, where Planner 5D fits better, if you plan commercial use of the images, or if you would rather not risk weekly charges after a trial.

Only in a limited way. In replies to Google Play reviews, the developer says the free version includes three credits a day; full access needs a weekly or yearly PRO plan. Reviewers on both stores describe the upgrade screen returning after the first design, so use the free credits to test your own room first.
Not reliably. It restyles the photo you upload, swapping furniture, wall colour, flooring and decor, rather than drawing a measured plan. The most-helpful reviews describe added windows, furniture placed across doors and clutter turned into decor. For to-scale layouts, Planner 5D builds 2D floor plans and an AR room planner from real dimensions.
The US App Store lists weekly PRO plans between $4.99 and $14.99, one sold with a free trial, and yearly plans at $19.99 and $39.99. Recent App Store reviewers report $14.99 a week after a three-day trial. Prices vary by region and change, so check the payment sheet before confirming.
Cancel in the store, not in the app. On Android, open Google Play, your profile, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions; on iPhone, open Settings, your name, Subscriptions. Do it before the trial ends: HubX's terms say trials convert automatically, purchases are final and refunds follow Apple's or Google's policy. Paid access lasts until the current period ends.
Your photos leave the phone. The privacy policy says images and prompts go to outside AI providers, naming Nanobanana, and sets no fixed deletion period. On Google Play's data safety form, the developer declares data not encrypted in transit and no deletion option, while the policy offers deletion by email.
