Two things make it unusual. The $3.99 game itself is not the account: the levels and the editor keep working with no account at all, so deleting only removes what the account holds — your uploaded levels, comments, friends and cloud save. And RobTop's moderators cannot do it for you; the FAQ states the team "cannot manage your account," so the website and the email you registered with are the only route. Below is the process, what to save first, and the recovery-email trap.
Before you start
Separate the game from the account. Geometry Dash is a $3.99 purchase as of September 2026, with no in-app purchases and no advertising, and every built-in level runs offline on the device. The account is optional: it holds your cloud save, the levels you uploaded, your comments, friends and messages, and your name on leaderboards. Deleting it deletes those. It does not delete the game, your local progress on this device, or your purchase.
Know what RobTop will and will not do. The FAQ: "The Geometry Dash Moderator team cannot manage your account. It is not possible for these people to recover your lost data or to change your account information." That applies to deletion too — nobody at RobTop presses the button; you do, from the Account Manager website, with access to the account's email.
Check the email first. The Account Manager confirms sensitive changes through the primary email you registered with, and the FAQ is blunt that "if you no longer have access to it, there is no way to change your primary email." A recovery email, added earlier, can receive password resets — so if the primary inbox is gone, add a recovery address only works while you can still log in. Sort that out before starting.
Save what you want to keep. Levels you built are uploaded from your device, so the local copies remain in the game; anything only in the cloud save should be loaded onto the device first — Account settings → Load — so it is on the phone when the cloud copy disappears.
Step 1. Open the Account Manager from the game
In Geometry Dash, open the account settings from the main menu and select Manage Account. This opens the Account Manager website in a browser, signed in to your account — it is the same site used to change a username, password or email, and the FAQ recommends it over the in-game menus for everything account-related.
Step 2. Delete the account
On the Account Manager page, find the delete option — it was added to the page as a self-service button, so you no longer need to email RobTop. Select it, confirm, and complete any check sent to the account's email. Player reports describe a waiting period of about a week before the deletion is processed, which gives a window to reconsider by logging in; RobTop's FAQ does not state a fixed figure, so treat the page's own message as the authority.
After the deletion completes, the username is gone from the servers, uploaded levels are removed, and the email can be used to register again.
Step 3. If the button is not there or does not work
The FAQ's fallback for anything the website cannot do is email. Write to RobTop Games support from the address the account was registered with, give the username, and ask for deletion — support verifies through that email, which is why the registered inbox matters. There is no in-game route and no moderator route.
If it does not work
You cannot log in to the Account Manager. Use Forgot Password on the same site; it emails the primary or recovery address. If neither inbox is reachable, the FAQ says there is nothing that can be done — the account cannot be recovered, and therefore cannot be deleted by you either.
You do not remember the username. The Account Manager can send it: enter the registered email and the site emails the username bound to it.
You want to keep the game but drop the account. Just sign out. The game, the built-in levels, the editor and your local progress need no account at all.
A level you made disappeared after deletion. Uploaded levels belong to the account and go with it; the copy in your device's editor stays. Re-upload it from a new account if you want it public again.
You have a Steam-linked account. The link is to the same Geometry Dash account; deleting it on the Account Manager removes it for every platform, and error code -13 on a later link attempt means the Steam account was already bound to a different one.
Bottom line
Manage Account in the game → the Account Manager website → the delete option, confirmed through the email you registered with; or an email to RobTop support from that address if the button fails. Load your cloud save onto the device first and keep the local copies of your levels. The $3.99 game itself does not need an account and keeps working — the only thing that ends is your name on the servers.
