What was announced

Niantic posted the details of Halloween 2026 Part II on October 8 on the official Pokémon GO news page. The event runs from Sunday, November 1, at 10 a.m. to Thursday, November 5, at 8 p.m. local time.

Two things lead it. Mega Sableye can be powered up to Super Max Level for the first time, and at that level it learns an extra Charged Attack, Night Shade+, while Mega Evolved: 55 power in Trainer Battles and 160 in raids, rising with Mega Level. And Greavard, the ghost dog, can be found Shiny in the game for the first time.

In the wild, look for Litwick, Rowlet in a Halloween costume, Greavard and Gengar in a Spooky Festival costume. One-Star Raids feature Pikachu in a hat and capelet and Sinistea wearing a bow, and all of these can be Shiny.

What it means for players

Super Max is not automatic. Sableye has to reach the third Mega Level, Max, first, and only spending its Mega Energy pushes it further, so Mega Evolving it once during the event will not unlock Night Shade+. If you want it, start building Sableye's Mega Level before November.

The GO Pass: Halloween 2026 is free and arrives automatically on October 27, covering both parts of the event until November 5, with rewards claimable until November 7. Rank 10 doubles Candy for catches and Rank 20 doubles Stardust. GO Pass Deluxe costs $7.99, or $9.99 with ten ranks included, as of October 2026, and raises those bonuses to triple while adding Rare Candy XL, Premium Battle Passes and the Patissier outfit.

What happens next

Part I of Halloween runs from October 27 to October 31 and leads straight into Part II. Niantic says more bonus tasks for the GO Pass will be added during the event, so the free track may grow before November 5.

Frequently asked questions

1

How do I unlock Super Max Mega Sableye?

Raise Sableye to the third Mega Level, Max, then keep spending its Mega Energy to power it up to Super Max. Mega Evolving alone does not unlock it.

2

Is the Halloween GO Pass free?

Yes. Every trainer gets the free GO Pass on October 27. GO Pass Deluxe costs $7.99 and triples the Candy and Stardust bonuses instead of doubling them.
