How to Turn Off AI Features on Your Phone
You can switch off most of the AI your phone added this year, and none of it needs a new app. On an iPhone, the summaries and Siri AI each have their
A FarmVille 2: Country Escape farm comes back only through the account it was linked to — Facebook, Game Center on iPhone, or Google Play on Android. Install the game, play the tutorial until the gear icon appears, sign in to that same account, and wait for the sync; when the game asks which saved game to keep, choose the one from the cloud. A farm that was never linked lives on the device it was played on, and Zynga's help centre is plain that reinstalling creates a new Player ID, so the order of the steps below matters more than usual. Everything here is from Zynga's own support articles.
Zynga's help centre states the design in one sentence: "By design, a farm is saved on the device and it is always preferred to link or associate your game progress on a social networking account for sync and recovery purposes." Three accounts can hold that link — Game Center for iOS, Google Play for Android, and Facebook — and only one of them crosses platforms. Game Center cannot restore a farm to an Android phone and Google Play cannot restore one to an iPhone; "a Facebook account can be used to recover your game progress across all platforms."
Two rules that decide whether recovery is possible at all. First, "you can only have one Country Escape Farm per Facebook, Game Center, or Google Play account." Second, from the same article: "Re-installation will automatically generate you a new Player ID or a new game on your device." A farm that was never linked and whose app has been deleted has no copy anywhere Zynga can reach.
So, before touching anything: which account was the farm linked to? In FarmVille 2: Country Escape the social icon in the upper right of the game board shows whether you are connected, and the Game Settings gear shows which login is active. If the old device still works, check there first — and do not uninstall from it.
Zynga's article on choosing a saved game distinguishes two copies: "When you play on offline mode, your game is automatically saved on your device. If you choose to play while connected to the internet, your game is then saved on the Cloud." The cloud copy is the one a new device will find.
On the device with your progress: open the game connected to the internet, and in Game Settings log out of Facebook and log back in "to refresh connection." Zynga also asks for the latest game and DLC on both devices — "You must have the latest game and DLC versions on both devices to be able to sync with the data saved on the Cloud."
If the old device is gone, skip to Step 2. Whatever was last synced is what exists.
Install from the same store account where possible — Zynga notes "you must use the same Game Center/Google Play account to download the game on your new device." Launch it connected to the internet; the game checks for updates and shows a Content Update prompt. Choose Yes and let it restart.
Then play the tutorial. Zynga's instruction is "play through tutorial until game settings (gear icon) appears." On a fresh install the social logins are not reachable immediately — the restore article says "you'll need to reach level 4 to access Facebook, Game Center or Google." Do not spend anything or make decisions you care about on this temporary farm; it is about to be replaced.
In Game Settings, log in to the same Facebook, Game Center or Google Play account the old farm was linked to, and "wait for your account to sync."
The game then asks which saved game to keep — the one on this device or the one from the cloud. Zynga's recommendation: "pick the one from the Cloud as it is the most up to date game." Choosing the device copy keeps the tutorial farm and discards nothing on the server, so if you pick wrong, log out and in again and choose the other.
If the farm appears, you are done. Reconnect the co-op and the boat, which need a connection either way.
Support cannot restore a farm that was never linked, but it can look up one that was, and it needs the Player ID. Zynga's article: "In the Game Settings menu, tap on the Help tab, and your Player ID will be displayed." Note that this is the ID of the farm you are currently in — on a fresh install, the new one. Any record of the old ID, from an old support email or a screenshot, is worth more.
To reach support from inside the game: Game Settings gear → under Help, tap Player Support → if no article fits, the red Contact Support button at the bottom → choose Game Play → describe the issue and enter the email address the reply should go to, checked twice. Include the account the farm was linked to, the platform it was played on, the level it had reached, and any purchases — receipts prove the account was yours.
The game never asks which save to keep. Both devices are not on the same game and DLC version, or the old device never synced. Update both, repeat Step 1 on the old device if it exists, then Step 3.
Facebook asks you to connect again. Zynga has an article for exactly this; the fix is to log out of Facebook in Game Settings and log back in, which refreshes the token. The farm is not lost, the link is.
You linked the farm on iPhone with Game Center and now have an Android phone. Game Center does not exist on Android. If Facebook was also connected at any point, sign in with that. If it never was, the farm can be recovered only to another iPhone or iPad signed in to the same Game Center account.
You uninstalled before linking. There is no cloud copy, and Zynga's article warns this is precisely the case that generates a new game. Support can confirm it but cannot reverse it.
Recover the farm through the account it was linked to — install, reach the gear icon, sign in, choose the cloud save — and link it to Facebook the moment it is back, because that is the only login that follows the farm between iPhone and Android. If it was never linked, the farm is wherever the old device is, and the one thing not to do is reinstall on it.
Install the game, play the tutorial until the settings gear appears, then sign in to the same Facebook, Game Center or Google Play account the farm was linked to and wait for the sync. When asked which saved game to keep, choose the cloud copy — Zynga's help centre calls it the most up to date.
Only through Facebook. Zynga states that Game Center does not work on Android and Google Play does not work on iOS, but a farm linked to Facebook can be recovered on any platform.
In the game: Game Settings → Help tab, where the Player ID is displayed. Support needs it to look up a farm. On a fresh install it shows the new farm's ID, so an old email or screenshot with the original ID is more useful.
If the farm was never linked to Facebook, Game Center or Google Play, yes — Zynga's article says reinstalling generates a new Player ID or a new game on the device. A linked farm is safe and comes back on sign-in.
