Once Human Adds a Free Ocean Expansion on October 22
NetEase and Starry Studio dated Once Human's largest update yet on September 21: Isles of Abyss goes live globally on October 22 — October 21 in Pacif

Go Ape Ship! is Sound Games' co-op spaceship sim for one to eight Astrochimps — run 40-plus mini-game tasks, answer emergencies, upgrade eight rooms and reach the stars or die together — free to try with a single $9.99 unlock, cross-play with Steam, on iOS since February 18, 2026 and Android since March. The concept gets compared to Among Us without the impostor; the port gets lag and crashes on flagship Androids, empty public lobbies and kicks between levels.
Specs come from the official store listings and were last checked on 2026-09-21. Developers change pricing and requirements — check the store page before installing.
The design is a crew sim: up to eight players as Astrochimps on one ship, each running to stations — match conduits, calibrate scanners, check cargo — as a task list fills and emergencies interrupt, with more than 40 mini-games, eight rooms to unlock and upgrade, six difficulty settings including an endless mode, and a run that ends in orbit or in pieces. A February 18, 2026 App Store five-star calls it Among Us with better graphics, a soundtrack and tasks like an escape room crossed with flying a ship; an August 14 five-star calls the controls fantastic and the concept great; an April 12 review says the hot-mic feature makes it funny alone or with friends. Sound Games of Gig Harbor, Washington released iOS on February 18, 2026 and Android in March, in 13 languages, rated 9+ and Everyone 10+, with a Steam version that shares lobbies.
The Android record is short and bad: 3.1 from 354 reviews, with an August 16 one-star on a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra that lags too badly to do anything, a September 6 one-star that lags and crashes on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, and a nine-vote March 25 review from an Odin 2 Mini owner whose store calls the game incompatible while a sideloaded copy runs fine. The App Store's 128 ratings at 4.0 add the other failure: a July 17 four-star crashes on a 2019 iPad; July 26, August 29 and August 31 reviews are kicked out after the tutorial or between level one and two. Lobbies are the design problem: a February 18 review could not launch because players did not know to sit in the chairs, a March 13 review asks for CPU crewmates for solo play, and a July 28 review joins public lobbies with no one in them. The last update on either store is March 26–27.
The model is a demo and a price: the download is free, and Unlock Ship! at $9.99 on the App Store — Google Play prices items from $1.49 to $54.99 by region — buys the full game with no ads, no currency and no other purchase; a March 3 five-star loves the pay-once model, a July 19 two-star asks why the full game costs money at all. Neither store shows an advertising badge or a loot-box flag. Google's data-safety card lists Personal info, App activity and App info collected; Apple lists no tracking. The install is 1 GB on iPhone, iOS 13 or newer with Apple Silicon Macs supported; Google Play lists no Android floor, and its compatibility filter excludes at least one handheld that runs the game. Prices are regional.

A 6.9 for a co-op game with a real idea and a fair price, ported to phones that cannot run it well enough — lag on flagships, kicks between levels, lobbies that do not fill, and no patch since March. Take it if you have a crew of friends on iPhones or Steam and want frantic ship-running with monkeys. Skip it on Android for now, or if you would be playing alone.
Solo play exists — one to eight players — but the lobbies, cross-play and the unlock verification are online, and the store pages describe no offline mode. Several summer 2026 reviewers were kicked from lobbies on any connection, which is a server issue rather than a signal one.
The trial is. The full game is a single in-app purchase, Unlock Ship! at $9.99 on the App Store, with Google Play showing $1.49 to $54.99 by region. No ads, no currency, no other purchases — a March 2026 reviewer bought it partly to play with friends on Steam. Prices vary by region.
The listing says iOS 13 with 1 GB free, or any compatible Android — but the reviews say more: a Galaxy S24 Ultra lagged unplayably, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 phone crashed, a 2019 iPad crashes, and an Odin 2 Mini was blocked by the store while running fine sideloaded. Until an update adds graphics options, treat it as a game for recent iPhones.
That is the whole game — up to eight players on one ship, with voice through a hot-mic feature and cross-play with Steam. The catch is filling a lobby: public rooms were empty for a July 2026 reviewer, and new crews often do not know to sit in the chairs to launch. Bring your own friends.
A mission is a run to the next destination — minutes, with a task timer on screen — and a campaign crosses the Solar System across six difficulties, plus an endless mode a September 2026 reviewer wants expanded. Sessions are as long as the crew stays; kicks between levels, per summer reviews, may decide that for you.
