About Reawait

Reawait is a Limbo-style 2D puzzle platformer from the one-person Beaon Dev: a boy falls into a sandstone cave maze and works through traps, timed jumps and unlockable abilities toward the light, in one continuous world with auto-save. On Android it is free with no ads, no purchases, no data collection and no internet needed, on Android 7.1 or newer; the Steam version costs $6.99. It lasts about two hours, and its ending upsets people.

Reawait Review: A Free Limbo in Sandstone, Two Hours Deep

One Long Cave, Deadly Traps and Abilities That Open It Up

The listing describes a 2D open world without loading screens and with automatic saving: you have tumbled into a deep, atmospheric cave and must find the safest path through ever-changing obstacles, dodge traps, time moves, unlock abilities that bypass formerly impossible barriers, and dig for secrets and lore. The screenshots set the tone — a boy in blue against black rock and lit sandstone blocks, a scorpion the size of a cart, swinging blades, a beam of light through a trapdoor. Players name the models themselves: Limbo and Inside in an Indonesian five-star from May 2026 and an Arabic one from July, and a Steam reviewer with four votes adds Heart of Darkness, calling the controls tight and responsive and the animation fluid. Steam's second review, from August 7, 2026, says the puzzles mostly solve themselves; the four-vote one says some obstacle timing is frustratingly tight.

Twenty of 24 Reviews Are Five Stars — and the Ending Is the Argument

Twenty-four Google Play reviews in six languages, 20 of them five-star, all since the late-April 2026 launch; the developer answers every one. The praise is the price and the puzzles — thanks for making it free, from Arabic and Indonesian players. The criticisms are precise. A Spanish two-star from April 30 says the controls are not precise enough for jumps that must be; a May 1 three-star found the slide-up-the-box-and-remove-spike section impossible after an update, and the developer promised a fix; the most-voted review, two votes in Indonesian, reports a getting-stuck bug. The other three-star, from April 30, took two hours to complete, praises the graphics and the difficult, enraging puzzles, and is angry about the ending — that poor boy did not deserve that. A May reviewer on a 32-bit device wants manual graphics options; version 2.0 on May 28 added joystick setup, better touch controls and a settings UI.

Free, Offline, No Ads, No Data — and $6.99 on Steam Since August

The Android listing states its terms in a list: offline, no ads, no in-app purchases, no data collection, and Google's data-safety card agrees — nothing collected, nothing shared. It runs on Android 7.1 or newer, rated Teen, with 1,000-plus installs and no star rating displayed; the listing gives no download size. Beaon Dev — the developer of record is Mohamed Jemil Mohamed Hasan — put the same game on Steam on August 1, 2026 at $6.99 with full controller support and DualSense profiles, and two positive reviews of about two hours each. The Steam page lists more than twenty interface languages including Arabic, Indonesian and Ukrainian, and the Android build gained language packs in May after a Turkish reviewer asked for Turkish and Kurmanji. There is no iOS version and no mention of one. For a free phone game the terms are as clean as they get; the trade is length.

Pros

  • Free on Android with no ads, no purchases, no data and no internet needed
  • Limbo-style atmosphere in lit sandstone, with fluid animation praised on Steam
  • One continuous world with auto-save and abilities that reopen earlier areas
  • Controller support and touch improvements added in version 2.0
  • Developer replies to every review and fixed levels players flagged

Cons

  • About two hours long, with little story until the end
  • Some jumps demand timing the touch controls do not always deliver
  • Puzzles mostly solve themselves, per a Steam reviewer
  • A getting-stuck bug and an ending that reviewers found cruel

Verdict

A 6.8: a handsome, free, offline Limbo homage that asks nothing of you but two hours and some patience with trap timing. Take it if you liked Inside and want that mood on a phone without ads. Skip it if you want puzzles that resist you, a longer descent, or an ending that lets the boy go.

Gameplay6Trap-dodging platforming in the Inside mould; light on puzzle depth and heavy on trial-and-error deaths.
Controls6Tight on a gamepad per Steam; imprecise for exact jumps on touch, per a Spanish review, improved in 2.0.
Replay value4One two-hour descent with secrets to find and nothing else to return for.
Graphics & sound7Black rock, warm sandstone and a giant scorpion — the visuals are what every review praises.
Monetisation10Free, offline, no ads, no shop, no data — the listing says so and the data card confirms it.

Frequently asked questions

1

Can you play Reawait offline?

Yes — the listing says the game requires no internet connection, alongside zero ads, no in-app purchases and no data collection, and Google's data-safety card confirms nothing is collected. Progress saves automatically on the device. It is one of the few free platformers on the store you can install and put in aeroplane mode.

2

Is Reawait free?

On Android, completely: no ads, no in-app purchases, no premium version. Reviewers from Indonesia and the Arab world thank the developer for that in their reviews. The same game on Steam costs $6.99 since August 1, 2026, with controller profiles; that is the version that pays for the free one.

3

What phone do you need for Reawait?

Android 7.1 or newer; a May 2026 reviewer confirms it runs on 32-bit devices and that the automatic graphics setting works well, though there are no manual quality options. The listing does not state a download size. There is no iPhone or iPad version.

4

Can you play Reawait with friends?

No. It is a single-player descent — one boy, one cave — with no co-op, multiplayer or leaderboards on Android or Steam. Version 2.0 added gamepad support, so two people can pass a controller, but the game itself is built for one.

5

How long is Reawait?

About two hours: a Play reviewer finished in two, and both Steam reviewers logged around two hours, one estimating that tight-timing obstacles added 20–30 minutes of retries. There is a tiny bit of story near the end and secrets to find on the way; there is no second mode.
