This is Sony's licensed Jeopardy! for phones, built by Toronto studio Uken Games and titled Jeopardy! World Tour inside the app. Rounds keep the show's Daily Doubles and Final Jeopardy wagers, but every clue offers three answers to tap, and a 2026 Uken reply refers to match rivals as AI opponents. Cities from Los Angeles onward raise the stakes. The catch: Cash entry fees, Gold Bar bundles and frequent ads shape every session.
Specs come from the official store listings and were last checked on 2026-10-01. Developers change pricing and requirements — check the store page before installing.
A round seats you beside two other contestants. You pick a clue, and the response appears as three buttons under "What is", which tests recognition rather than recall. Store screenshots show a 1/5 counter over the board, and reviewers describe five picks per round. Daily Doubles and Final Jeopardy wagers carry over from television, and Uken says the clues are written by the show's writers. In September 2026 Uken answered a player who lost on the buzzer by referring to "AI opponents"; older replies say matchmaking pairs rivals of similar skill. Uken concedes that power-ups and Daily Doubles can sink a perfect round. Unlike Trivia Crack, where a wheel picks among six categories, you choose every clue here.
Progress runs city by city, starting in Los Angeles, through stops such as London and Tokyo, each paying better rewards. Matches cost in-game Cash, and many reviewers say the entry fee climbs with every city. Since a 2019 change, Cash builds up in a Bank you can collect at any time, and Uken's advice to stuck players is to drop back to a cheaper unlocked city. Head to Head is the social layer: you set a score on a board and friends try to beat it, and a store screenshot shows a challenge costing one heart from a meter at 2/3. Themed events bring their own boards, such as a film set with Westerns and Best Actor. Several 2026 reviews report duplicate clues, sometimes within one round.
The US App Store lists Gold Bars bundles from $1.99 to $29.99, a $1.99 Starter Pack and a $9.99 Premium Contestant item; Google Play quotes $0.99 to $99.99 per item. Prices vary by region. Gold Bars buy power-ups, and reviewers say they also refill Cash. Both stores flag advertising, and the listing says ads may be tailored on behalf of the Sony Corporation family of companies and third parties. Uken's replies point to in-game purchases for ad-free play, but neither store says what Premium Contestant includes or how long it lasts. More than 40 of the 150 most relevant English Play reviews object to ads; several from 2025 and 2026 describe ads freezing the app or costing a finished match.
Uken Games, an independent Toronto studio founded in 2009, built the game with Sony Pictures Television Networks as publisher; both stores date it to May 17, 2017, and the package name still carries Sony Pictures Television's name. Uken also makes the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire game, with a similar city ladder plus 50:50 and Ask the Audience lifelines. Players abroad report English-only clues, an issue in 29 of 100 Spanish and 22 of 100 French Play reviews, although the App Store lists eight languages. Apple's privacy label lists location, identifiers and usage data as used to track you. Uken's privacy policy, effective March 9, 2026, names advertising ID, MAC address and IMEI among data collected automatically.

We score it 6.6. The board, the wagers and clues Uken credits to the show's writers make a fast, familiar round, while three-button answers, AI rivals and a Cash economy that leans on Gold Bars pull it down. Take it for quick Jeopardy! sessions if ads between rounds do not bother you. Skip it if you want live opponents, which Ludia's Family Feud Live! advertises, or if paying to keep a free game moving is a deal-breaker.

Partly, by Google Play's account: the listing advertises an offline mode and carries Play's Offline tag, but neither store says which modes it covers. Head to Head challenges, leaderboards and events depend on other players' scores, so plan on a connection for those.
Not strictly, but money helps. Uken tells Play reviewers that every item can be earned through play, yet power-ups bought with Gold Bars swing close rounds, and reviewers say Cash entry fees grow by city. The US App Store lists Gold Bars bundles from $1.99 to $29.99; Play's range reaches $99.99 per item. Prices vary by region.
Android 7.0 or later, or iOS and iPadOS 13 or later, with Apple Vision also supported. Expect roughly 230 MB on Android and 385 MB on iPhone. Google Play lists a Windows version too, and Uken's privacy policy mentions linking Facebook, Apple or Google accounts.
Yes, through Head to Head: you post a score on a board and a friend tries to beat it, and accepting a challenge costs one heart on the store screenshots. It is not real-time play. For live matches with chat, Ludia's Family Feud Live! advertises one-on-one live games and a US$4.99 monthly subscription.
Not long: rounds run on a five-clue counter, and TouchArcade called it a really fast game at launch in 2017. Reviewers often complain that ads between rounds stretch sessions. The long game is the city ladder from Los Angeles onward, where reviewers say Cash, not knowledge, sets the pace.
