PowerWash Simulator Review: The Cleaning Game on Apple Arcade, Co-op Included

Nozzles, Extensions, Muckingham and Nothing to Hurry

The design is exactly what it says: aim a pressure washer at something dirty until it is clean, one panel at a time, with the game chiming as each section completes. Career Mode builds a washing business across the town of Muckingham — a van, a playground, a carousel, houses — with washers, nozzles, cleaners and extensions to buy, and a story told in text messages between jobs that a January 8, 2026 review calls a great addition. The Specials menu holds the licensed sets: a June 12 five-star finished every job, all of SpongeBob SquarePants and all of Alice in Wonderland and calls it the best Apple Arcade game yet; the September 9, 2026 update added an Excavator, a Paintball Arena and a Spanish Villa under The Muckingham Files. Nothing is timed — a December 2025 iPad reviewer values being able to be thorough before a section counts. Rated 4+, in 14 languages, 1.9 GB on iOS 15 or newer.

Touch That Works for Most, Not for the One-Star, and a Carousel Too Fiddly

The reviews are overwhelmingly five stars and the criticisms are specific. A February 9 five-star finds the carnival carousel's horse rods too hard to clean; an August 12 review is frustrated when the game says something is not quite clean and the dirt-finder shows nothing; a December 18 review sometimes loses progress at the end of a co-op level; a September 19 three-star asks that everyone in a party receive the points when a job finishes. The dissent is a December 3, 2025 one-star from a player who completed PowerWash Simulator 2 on Xbox in a week: this one is made only for money with horrible controls and no optimisation even with a controller. An April 27 Steam completionist calls it a pretty good port with two minor gripes — the turning, and DLC still to transfer. Ratings: 4.7 from 18,369.

Apple Arcade Only: No Price, No Ads, No Android, Saves Everywhere

There is nothing to buy and nothing to skip: PowerWash Simulator on mobile is an Apple Arcade title, included with the subscription and unavailable outside it, with no in-app purchases, no advertising and no tracking listed. The subscription buys the whole catalogue — the Career, the Specials, the September levels — and progress travels between iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Vision Pro. What it does not buy is an Android version, or a way to own the game; the PC and console editions and PowerWash Simulator 2 are sold outright elsewhere, and a September 9 reviewer asks whether the sequel will come to Arcade. Online co-op for up to four is included, with the party-points quirk above. Subscription prices are regional.
