Raft Survival: Multiplayer is the online edition of Ocean Nomad, the phone Raft-alike from Survival Games and Megame — a plane-crash survivor on a raft, hooking floating debris, fishing, distilling water, building the raft up and fending off a shark, in rooms of up to ten players — free on iOS since 2022 and on Android through the main Ocean Nomad app, with ads, a $1.99 ad removal and premium co-op modes to $59.99. It rates 4.5 on the App Store and 4.1 on Google Play. The reviews report an edition missing islands, motor and anchor, private rooms strangers can join, and a shop that pops up after you have paid for no ads.

Raft Survival: Multiplayer Review: Ocean Nomad With Friends, Minus the Islands

Hook the Debris, Feed the Crew, Watch the Shark

The loop is Raft's, on a phone: alone after a crash, you stand on a few planks with a hook, snag barrels and planks drifting past, craft stations — watch health, hunger and thirst, and expand the raft plank by plank while a shark circles and bites the edges. The multiplayer edition adds rooms: create one, set it private, invite friends, and up to ten people build one raft. Fans describe a game with a rhythm: a September 12, 2026 Play five-star and their partner return every year or two for three months because it is simple, hard enough, and great with a second player; a February 2020 four-star with 73 votes loves it because it does not spoon-feed — you have to think. The December 2025 Android update added a room list and cross-connection to iOS by ID.

No Islands, No Motor, No Anchor — and Private Rooms That Are Not

The multiplayer edition's gaps are the App Store reviews' theme. An August 2023 five-star who loved the single-player version found the anchor and motor do nothing in multiplayer; an August 2024 two-star cannot understand why islands were left out and will not play with friends until they arrive. Privacy is the second theme: a February 2024 three-star and an April 2023 review both made private rooms for two and had strangers appear in them. Content depth is the third: a November 2019 Play three-star with 25 votes found only about ten things to build and boredom by level 25. An April 2026 three-star's title is that there is too much focus on money — countless pop-up ads, and in-game purchase prompts even after buying ad-free.

The shop is where the multiplayer edition earns: No Ads at $1.99, Unlock Death Match at $3.99, Premium Cooperative Game Mode listed repeatedly at $9.99 and $11.99, and a Premium Multiplayer Game Mode at $59.99 on the App Store, with Google Play's range at $0.49 to $24.99 and both stores showing advertising. A December 2022 one-star calls the developers money-hungry — a character purchase felt unavoidable in either mode — and the April 2026 three-star confirms the pop-ups survive the ad removal. Data cards differ by store: Google lists personal info, financial info and three other types collected, with personal, financial and device data shared; Apple lists usage and diagnostics not linked to you. A 5.0: the phone Raft's simple, sticky survival loop with a room for friends, delivered in an edition that left out the islands, cannot keep strangers out of a private room, and sells its co-op back to you for up to $59.99 under pop-ups that outlive the no-ads purchase. Take it for a few weeks with a partner if you already like Ocean Nomad. Skip it if you want the islands — play the single-player app — or if paid no-ads should mean no prompts.
