Pokémon Masters EX Closes in Türkiye, With No Word on Refunds

DeNA has told players in Türkiye that Pokémon Masters EX stops working there with an update scheduled for December 22. The notice, posted on the game's official site late on September 24, says every feature stays available until that day and that the app will not play afterwards even if you open it. What it does not say is anything about money: no purchase cutoff, no refunds, no word on gems you have already paid for.
What was announced
The end-of-service notice went up on the official Pokémon Masters EX site on September 24 at 11pm Pacific time. It is addressed specifically to the Republic of Türkiye and gives one date: service there ends with an update scheduled for December 22, 2026.
Three lines carry the whole announcement. All features continue to work until service ends. The schedule is subject to change. After service ends, players will no longer be able to play Pokémon Masters EX even if they launch the app.
There is no explanation of why this one country is being closed, and no mention of purchases. Pokémon Masters EX is free to start and sells in-game items, so the question of what happens to unspent paid currency is the obvious one — and the notice does not raise it.
This is not the first time. The same site still carries an end-of-service notice for Vietnam, where the game stopped working on November 28, 2024. That notice also skipped the money question and instead pointed players at the support address, asking them to find their Support ID on the title screen before writing in.
What it means for players
A regional shutdown is different from a game closing. Pokémon Masters EX continues everywhere else, so the servers stay up, events keep running and the story keeps updating — just not for accounts in one country.
For players there, the practical window is now about twelve weeks. Anything bought after this point is bought with a known expiry date, and there is no transfer: the game is account-based on a service that will stop responding in that market, and nothing in the notice suggests a migration path to another region.
The precedent from Vietnam is the most useful guide available. Players who wanted answers about purchases were sent to support individually rather than given a blanket policy, which suggests the same route here — and it is worth doing before December rather than after, while the account is still live and the Support ID is still readable on the title screen.
What happens next
The date to watch is December 22, and the wording leaves room: the schedule is subject to change, which in past DeNA notices has meant slipping later rather than earlier.
What is still missing is a second notice covering purchases. Vietnam never got one publicly, and if Türkiye follows the same pattern, the only answers will come through the support address one player at a time.
