Streets of Rage 4 Joins Crunchyroll Game Vault on iPhone and Android

Streets of Rage 4 is now part of Crunchyroll Game Vault on iPhone and Android, included with Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan memberships with no ads and no in-app purchases. The Crunchyroll edition went live in the App Store on October 7. The standalone mobile version, sold since 2022, is still available for $7.99.
What was announced
Crunchyroll released Crunchyroll: Streets of Rage 4 on October 7, according to its App Store listing, and announced it on its games account the next day. It is a separate app from Crunchyroll, LLC, free to download but playable only with a Mega Fan or Ultimate Fan membership.
The game itself is the full beat 'em up: story mode, arcade runs and survival waves, with Axel, Blaze, Cherry, Floyd and unlockable characters fighting through Wood Oak City. The listing promises touch controls tuned for phones, Bluetooth controller support and online co-op.
On iPhone it needs iOS 17 and takes about 1.8 GB.
What it means for players
If you already pay for Crunchyroll's Mega Fan or Ultimate Fan tier, this is a complete game at no extra cost. Game Vault titles carry no ads and no in-app purchases, so nothing inside the game is locked behind a store.
If you do not, the older standalone release is still there. Streets of Rage 4 has been on the App Store since 2022 from its mobile publisher, Playdigious, for a one-time $7.99 as of October 2026, and a purchase does not depend on any subscription. The Vault edition, by contrast, is playable only while a Mega Fan or Ultimate Fan membership is active.
The choice comes down to whether you watch anime on Crunchyroll anyway. For a subscriber the Vault copy is a free extra; for everyone else it is a membership bought for one game. What happens next
Crunchyroll has been filling the Vault quickly: it passed 100 games this summer, and Streets of Rage 4 was one of the titles it named in September as coming next. Expect more console and PC ports to follow the same model, included in the membership rather than sold one by one.
