Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9 Pits Vampires Against Werewolves

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9, Vampires vs Werewolves, launches on October 14 at 5 p.m. PT. It is the game's first community-voted season: players chose the theme and some of the Battle Pass skins and blueprints. The season adds a Leader's Kill Confirmed mode, a free Grav Assault Rifle and a faction event called Fang Wars.
What was announced
Activision detailed Season 9 on October 7 in the official Call of Duty blog, and the game's own account confirmed the date again on October 10. The season goes live on October 14 at 5 p.m. Pacific, which is the early hours of October 15 in Europe.
The headline is the vote. For the first time players picked a season's theme, and two of the Premium Pass skins came from it: Minotaur — Pack Commander on the werewolf side and Sparrowhawk — Moonlight Vengeance on the vampire side, along with the CX9 — Wolven Moonrise and 3-Line Rifle — Cantus Rubra blueprints.
The new limited-time mode is Leader's Kill Confirmed. Each team has one Leader, a mech-equipped Operator visible to both sides, whose dog tag is worth far more than a normal one; when a Leader falls, the role passes to a teammate. Street Fighter's Shoryu and Hadoken modes and Honkai's Gleaming Front return, and Attack of the Undead runs on Haunted Hacienda and Haunted Standoff.
What it means for players
The free track of the Battle Pass carries the season's new weapon, the Grav Assault Rifle, a high-velocity rifle built for long range. You do not need to pay to use it, only to unlock the voted skins.
Fang Wars is the event worth joining early. You pick Vampires or Werewolves and complete missions for your side. Each faction has its own blueprint reward, the SO-14 — Moonlit Marksman Rifle for vampires and the Type 25 — Lone Wolf for werewolves, and both sides get both Victory calling cards whatever the result; the winning faction's card comes in Gold.
A second event, Call of the Dead, celebrates Día de Muertos: collect 100 Howlbones and the K-9 Unit — Fantasma skill skin unlocks automatically. Season 9 also lets you download the season's update ahead of launch from the in-game Download Manager.

What happens next
The store side follows the usual seasonal pattern: new Draws, two Mythic re-runs and a Halloween Sale from October 28 to November 3 with discounts on seasonal Draws, Lucky Boxes and Crates. Three older Battle Passes, from 2021, 2022 and 2024, also move into the Battle Pass Vault.
