What was announced
CD Projekt Red confirmed the date in its own announcement post: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered arrives on September 29, 2026. The studio describes it as a new version of the game with upgrades to visuals, gameplay and more.
The commercial terms are the story. The remaster is a free upgrade for owners of the game, so nobody who already bought it is asked to buy anything again.
On top of that, the studio said all current owners of the base game gain access to Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine at no cost. Those two expansions were paid content for a decade, and Blood and Wine in particular is often described as larger than most standalone releases.
