Minecraft vs Roblox: Which One Should a Child Actually Get
Minecraft for anyone who wants one game bought once and then left alone; Roblox for anyone who wants a different game every evening and accepts a shop

Gangstar Mirage City is not on the US App Store or Google Play yet. Level Infinite, Tencent's publishing label, soft-launched it on August 20, 2026 in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Eastern and Central Europe, MENA and Latin America after 30 million pre-registrations, with no date for North America. It is a Gameloft-licensed, online-only open-world crime game: four-person crews, co-op heists, a Business Empire of districts, and a shop from $0.49 to $99.99 where it runs.
The product is not in the mobile stores yet, so there is no store listing to take specifications from. Checked 2026-09-19.
The August 20, 2026 announcement on Level Infinite's site lists the launch regions: Southeast Asia, South Asia, Eastern and Central Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and Latin America, on iOS and Android, after 30 million pre-registrations closed on August 19. The United States, Canada and Western Europe are not on the list, the US App Store has no listing at all, and the Google Play page — 10 million installs, a 4.2 rating from 117,000 reviews as of September 2026 — belongs to the regional rollout. Level Infinite has published no date for the rest of the world. The publisher of record on Play is Proxima Beta, Tencent's Singapore entity; the Gangstar name is licensed from Gameloft, which made the earlier Gangstar Vegas and Gangstar New Orleans.
What Level Infinite has described is a persistent online city rather than a single-player Gangstar. Crews are capped at four players and run Co-op Heists — bank vaults and armoured transports — alongside a set of named side modes: Taxi Takeover, Fight of the Bites, Treasure Rush, Big Head Mode and Orarra Fight, a battle-royale-style contest. The Business Empire layer expands district by district into penthouses and garages, and Director's Mode records custom footage. Two things the early Play reviews agree on: the city looks expensive, and there is no offline component. A review from August 25, 2026 asks for an offline mode and complains about ping and griefers; Level Infinite's reply logs the request without promising it. A September 12 review asks for controller support; the publisher's answer is that emulators and peripherals are not supported yet.
Until Gangstar Mirage City is installable from a US store there is nothing here to score, so the page shows a status instead of a number and the specifications stay unfilled. The Play listing already states the shape of the shop — purchases from $0.49 to $99.99 per item, no advertising badge, a Mature 17+ rating — and those figures will be checked again at launch, since prices differ by region. If you see an APK or an "early access" installer for the US, it is a regional build or a fake: the official channels are the Level Infinite site, the regional store pages and the game's Discord. When the American listing goes live, this page gets the store buttons, a full review and a score like every other game here.

No. It is an online-only city with four-person crews, co-op heists and shared servers; a Google Play review from August 25, 2026 asked for an offline mode and Level Infinite's reply recorded the request without committing to one. Expect a connection for every session, and the same review reports high ping and griefers as the cost of that design.
Free to download in the regions where it is live, with in-app purchases listed on Google Play from $0.49 to $99.99 per item and no advertising badge. Cars, weapons, penthouses and the Business Empire are the things the shop sells around. Prices are regional and will be checked again when the US listing appears.
Not officially. The August 2026 soft launch covers Southeast Asia, South Asia, Eastern and Central Europe, MENA and Latin America; there is no US App Store listing and no date for one. APK files circulating for other regions are regional builds at best and repackaged installers at worst, and the game's servers are tied to those regions.
Yes, in crews of up to four. Level Infinite describes Co-op Heists as the core group activity, with Taxi Takeover, Treasure Rush, Fight of the Bites and the battle-royale-style Orarra Fight as side modes, and a shared open city where you meet other players between jobs. There is no local or split-screen play; everything runs through the online servers.
No date has been announced. Level Infinite's launch post of August 20, 2026 lists five regions and says nothing about North America, Western Europe, Japan or Korea. The publisher's site, its press extranet and the game's Discord are where a date would appear first; this page is updated when it does.
