Best Free Action Games for Android, Ranked by Our Scores
Clash of Clans is the best free action game on Android by our scores — 8.2, fourteen years after launch, for attacks that are real decisions and clan

Rust Mobile is not released. Level Infinite, Tencent's publishing label, is building it under licence from Facepunch — the full loop of the PC survival game, loot, craft, raid, die and start over, on a sandbox map with weather and a day-night cycle — and has run two betas: December 11–31, 2025, and August 23 to September 30, 2026 across five regions, Android via Google Play and iOS via TestFlight. Four million pre-registered; no launch date is announced.
The product is not in the mobile stores yet, so there is no store listing to take specifications from. Checked 2026-09-21.
The facts are a beta calendar. Facepunch licensed Rust to Level Infinite, and the first closed beta ran December 11 to 31, 2025 on iOS and Android with pre-loading from December 9, per Bleeding Cool. Gavin Sheehan's July 30, 2026 report set the second: pre-load on August 22, doors open August 23 at 6 pm Pacific, across North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America, with Android players through Google Play or an official APK and iOS players limited to TestFlight places; Final Weapon dates its end to September 30. That beta added new items, new-player features and thirteen languages, from English and Russian to Arabic and Japanese, and Level Infinite counted over four million pre-registrations. A Rust Mobile tent stood at gamescom Camp in Cologne from August 24 to 30, 2026. GamingOnPhone reported a China launch targeted for July 2026 across PC and mobile. Nothing names a global release date.
The Google Play description promises the whole game rather than a spin-off: open-world exploration, PvP, base building and raiding, and emergent social play on a fully explorable sandbox with dynamic weather, regional biomes and a real-time day-night cycle — the loop of loot, craft, raid, die and start over, the listing's own phrase. The only body of player opinion is TapTap, where the beta build — version 1.46.1.303, 1.65 GB, Android 6 or newer, updated August 21, 2026 — holds 9.6 out of 10 from 1,400 ratings; the praise is a faithful port, the objection, in late-August and early-September reviews, is optimisation: low frame rates, stuttering and animation desync. Google Play shows 500,000-plus downloads at a Mature 17+ rating. This page carries no score until a release build exists.
Because it is a beta, the store page is nearly empty of the things this site normally reads: Google Play shows neither an advertising badge nor an in-app purchase badge, its data-safety card lists nothing collected or shared, and the version and Android floor are listed as varying by device. The legal publisher is Proxima Beta Pte. Limited, Tencent's Singapore entity, with support at Level Infinite. There is no App Store listing to compare — iOS access was TestFlight only — and no announced business model. What players in the beta regions installed can change with any update, and Facepunch's own PC game wipes servers on a schedule, so progress in a test should be treated as temporary. The buttons, the review and the score arrive when Rust Mobile is on the stores as a released game.

No, and it will not be designed to: Rust is a multiplayer survival game on shared servers — raiding other players' bases is the point — and both betas ran on Level Infinite's servers with regional access. There is no single-player mode in the PC game and none has been announced for mobile.
The betas have been free, the Google Play listing shows no purchase badge yet, and Level Infinite has not announced the business model. Its other mobile games are free with cosmetics and passes; Facepunch's PC Rust is a paid game with cosmetic skins. Treat the launch pricing as unannounced.
Only the beta build, which Level Infinite distributed through Google Play and an official APK on its own channels for the August 23 to September 30, 2026 test. APK files elsewhere are that build repackaged, tied to servers the studio can close at any update. The official routes are Google Play pre-registration, the TestFlight sign-up and Level Infinite's Discord.
That is the design: teams, shared bases and raids on other players are how the PC game is played, and the listing promises the same emergent social play. Cross-play with PC Rust has not been announced — the mobile game is a separate build by Level Infinite, and the betas were mobile-only.
No date. The timeline so far: a closed beta December 11–31, 2025; a second beta August 23 to September 30, 2026 in five regions; a gamescom showing in August 2026; and a reported China launch target of July 2026. Level Infinite's Discord and the Google Play page are where a global date would appear first.
