Mobile Esports Finals: Brawl Stars in Tokyo, Free Fire in Bangkok

Three of mobile gaming's biggest championships have their end-of-season dates fixed as of September 18: the Brawl Stars World Finals in Tokyo on November 20–22 with $1,000,000 on the line, the Free Fire World Series Global Finals in Bangkok across four November weekends from November 6 with 24 teams, and the MLBB M8 World Championship finishing in Türkiye in January 2027. Here is what each has confirmed and what is still open.
What was announced
Brawl Stars World Finals 2026. Supercell's dates: Friday, November 20 to Sunday, November 22 at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, doors at 10:00 JST, shows from 12:00. Twelve teams play for a $1,000,000 prize pool — $450,000 to the winner, $200,000 for second, $10,000 for eleventh and twelfth. The bracket opens with a group stage on the Friday and two days of playoffs. Slots go to the top four from EMEA, two each from North America, South America and East Asia, and two from the Last Chance Qualifier. Tickets went on sale on August 1 as three-day packages from 20,770 JPY (Pin Collector) to 33,370 JPY (Ultimate Starr, with premium seating and a meet-and-greet), plus general admission; attendees get exclusive in-game pins. Supercell calls it the largest in-person event in its history.
Free Fire World Series 2026 Global Finals. Garena's roadmap, published January 19, places the finals in Bangkok — the city's third time after 2019 and 2023 — running across four weekends from November 6. The field grows from 18 to 24 teams to bring in more emerging regions. The prize pool has not been announced. The Southeast Asia fall season that feeds it ends September 20.
MLBB M8 World Championship. MOONTON's roadmap, announced by CEO Cloud Zhang at the M7 Grand Finals, splits M8 across two countries: the Wild Card stage in Thailand and the main event and finals in Türkiye in January 2027, the first M-series event held outside Southeast Asia and the first in Europe.
What it means for players
For viewers, the three events do not overlap: Brawl Stars owns the third weekend of November, Free Fire runs the whole month in Bangkok's usual time zone, and MLBB moves to January. Brawl Stars viewers earn Pro Pass XP by predicting and cheering on the event site, as in past years. For Brawl Stars, Free Fire and Mobile Legends players, the finals usually bring in-game drops and themed cosmetics; none of the three publishers has listed this year's yet.
For anyone travelling: Tokyo tickets are sold in three-day packages only, eight per purchase, through Supercell's ticket partner and eplus in Japan.
What happens next
Brawl Stars' qualified-team reveal and Last Chance Qualifier details usually follow the regional finals in late September. Garena has yet to publish the exact Bangkok weekend schedule, venue and prize pool. MOONTON has not named the Turkish city or January dates for M8.
