Scopely announced a two-month season for Monopoly Go: Monster Mash runs from September 23 to November 25 and opens with a KPop Demon Hunters crossover — HUNTR/X, the Saja Boys, a concert event and the game's first licensed songs — plus a Ghostbusters tie-in with a proton-blaster treasure hunt and a street race through Seoul.

What was announced

Monster Mash, the season that carries Monopoly Go from September 23 to November 25, brings two licences at once.

From KPop Demon Hunters: the group HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys arrive as characters, with minigames, a live concert experience inside the game, and a Blocks Boutique full of themed items to collect. It is also a first for the game — licensed songs play in-game, with HUNTR/X tracks "Golden" and "How It's Done".

From Ghostbusters: a Treasures event set inside the team's headquarters at 550 Central Park West, where players clear a slime-covered grid with a Proton Blaster. The two crossovers meet in a street race: HUNTR/X, the Saja Boys and the Ghostbusters race in themed vehicles through Seoul and into the Underworld.

Around them sits the usual seasonal furniture: a Luck-O'-Lantern to fill as you move around the board, Trick or Treat dice battles against friends, and new community-made tokens and styles.

What it means for players

Two months is long for a Monopoly Go season, and the structure is the point: the KPop Demon Hunters half is front-loaded from September 23, while the Halloween material — pumpkins, trick-or-treat battles — carries the second half towards late October.

The licensed music is the genuinely new part. Monopoly Go has run dozens of crossovers on art alone; putting actual chart songs into the app is a different kind of deal and a sign of where the game's budget goes.

For phone players the practical read is simple: everything here is event content inside the existing app, so nothing needs a separate download, and the concert and race events are timed rather than permanent.

As always, none of it changes the dice economy. Events give tokens, stickers and cosmetics; the rolls still come at the same rate.

What happens next

The season runs to November 25 with events unlocking in stages. Scopely has not detailed what follows the KPop Demon Hunters block, though the Halloween themed content points to late October.
