A free profile needs at least two photos, then lets you swipe in Encounters, browse Discover and message, voice call or video call any match without sharing a phone number. Three limits apply. Encounters has a daily vote cap that resets 24 hours after you reach it. The Likes tab blurs everyone who liked you until you buy Premium. Messaging someone before a match, from Discover, needs a verified profile and Credits. Filters are limited too; replying to a 2021 App Store review, the developer said they widen once matching profiles run out, which fits 2025–2026 Play reviews about profiles far beyond the chosen distance.

Photo Verification, Private Detector and Deception Detector at Work

Photo Verification asks for a selfie copying a gesture from an example photo; automated checks and human reviewers compare it with your pictures, usually within minutes, and a pass adds a blue checkmark. ID Verification, with a government ID and a live selfie, can be requested as an age check. Private Detector, introduced in 2019, blurs chat images it flags as explicit and lets you view, delete or report them. Deception Detector, rolled out across Bumble Inc. apps in February 2024, uses machine learning to flag fake and scam accounts, backed by human moderators. Gaps remain: highly voted 2025–2026 reviews describe duplicate profiles, false locations and reports closed without action.

Premium, Extra or Credits: $13.99 a Week and a Separate Wallet

Premium reveals who liked you and adds unlimited votes and filters, Invisible Mode, private browsing, a daily Crush, undo, message priority and no ads; plans run 7, 30, 90 or 180 days, or for life. Extra keeps only the Crush, undo, ad removal and bonus Credits. The US App Store lists 7 Days Badoo Premium at $13.99 and 100-credit packs at $1.99 and $3.99; prices vary by country and can change. Credits buy Extra Shows, a spot atop Discover, read receipts and chats before a match, and expire after six months unless bought through Apple. Meanwhile, July to September 2026 reviews in English, Spanish and Portuguese report video ads every two to seven swipes.

Precise Location, Cross-App Tracking and a 28-Day Restore Window

Apple's privacy label lists location, contact info, identifiers and usage data as data that may track you across other companies' apps. Google Play's Data safety form says approximate location, device IDs and app interactions are shared for advertising, and lists precise location, installed apps and sexual orientation among collected data, with ethnicity and religious or political beliefs optional. Two settings help: Control your experience, in the Safety tab, hides your online status, though you then stop seeing others', and a passkey under Privacy signs you in with Face ID, a fingerprint or the device PIN. A deleted account can be restored through support for 28 days; an erasure request skips that wait but can take 30 days.
