WhatsApp: Any Emoji on Apple Watch, Search Inside a Chat
Two WhatsApp changes landed this week. On September 21 reactions on Apple Watch stopped being limited to six emoji: the watch app now carries the full
Free Match accounts can chat with every mutual match and rate up to 50 profiles a day in the Recommended stack, but seeing who liked you starts at the Silver tier. The paid extras lean on human curation: Expert Picks, a Platinum add-on, sends one profile chosen by a dating expert every three days. The catch is billing: four tiers, charged in full up front and generally non-refundable.
Specs come from the official store listings and were last checked on 2026-10-01. Developers change pricing and requirements — check the store page before installing.
Without paying you can build a profile, rate up to 50 profiles a day in the Recommended stack and message anyone who likes you back. Bronze, the first paid tier, unlocks unlimited Likes, unlimited rewinds and unrestricted rating on the Discover tab; Silver adds the list of people who liked you; Platinum adds unlimited introductions, advanced filters, read receipts, a weekly Super Like and a monthly Boost. Diamond, where offered, layers on Priority Likes, weekly automatic Boosts, three weekly Super Likes and Who's Viewed Me. Free accounts can still buy Super Likes in packs of 5, 12 or 30, and Highlights gives free and paid members up to three curated profiles a day.
Expert Picks is what most separates the app from swipe-first rivals: a human dating expert works from your deal breakers and relationship goals, then sends one profile every three days to your inbox. It is a Platinum add-on, and the help center warns it may not be available in every state or while you travel. Top Picks, the automated feed, follow preferences such as faith, smoking, education and whether someone wants kids, yet deliberately widen your age, height and distance filters. Google Play reviews from 2025 and 2026 repeatedly describe deal breakers and distance limits that do not seem to hold, and Discover cards that register a like or a pass when reviewers only meant to scroll a bio.
Every package, whether 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, is charged in full at purchase, though checkout shows a monthly or weekly figure; there are no pauses, plans auto-renew, and subscriptions are generally non-refundable. Cancel a Platinum plan and you cannot currently drop to Silver or Bronze. Anyone who subscribed through the iPhone app must buy most one-time features on the website. On the US App Store at the time of checking, a one-month plan was listed at $44.99 and a six-month bundle at $129.99. Private Mode, which shows you only to members you contact, and Undercover, 24 hours of browsing without appearing in Who's Viewed Me, carry non-refundable upfront fees. Check the current price in the app; it varies by region.
Photo Verification asks for a video selfie, runs a Liveness Check and 3D Face Authentication, then deletes the facial geometry template within 24 hours, keeping two screenshots for the life of the account. A separate age check stores a scanned face photo for three months and a hashed copy with an age score for a year. Expanded Discovery & Interaction, where offered, shows your profile on other Match Group apps; switch it off under Settings, Your Privacy Choices, Match Group Data Sharing. Google Play's Data safety form says device IDs are shared for advertising and lists sexual orientation among collected data, Apple's label says identifiers may track you across other companies' apps, and automated Safe Message Filters scan chats.

Match earns 6.2 because the free tier covers the basics, chat with every match and 50 ratings a day, and Expert Picks adds real human curation, while billing drags the score down: four tiers, upfront charges, no pauses and no step down from Platinum. Take it if you want a relationship-focused app and will pay for Platinum. Skip it if you want refunds or pauses as an option, or would rather your profile stayed off other Match Group apps.

Yes, once you match. Free members can chat with every mutual match, rate up to 50 profiles a day in the Recommended stack and get up to three Highlights daily. Seeing who liked you requires Silver or above, and advanced filters, read receipts and unlimited introductions start at Platinum.
A Boost lasts 60 minutes and places your profile in the top six search results for members looking for someone like you; if more than six profiles are boosted, the app picks at random. Multipacks of 5 or 10 Boosts expire after 90 days and are non-refundable. Platinum includes one Boost a month, and Diamond adds weekly automatic Boosts.
On the US App Store at the time of checking, a one-month plan was listed at $44.99 and a six-month bundle at $129.99. Longer packages lower the monthly figure but are charged in full at purchase, so six months is one payment. Check the current price in the app; it varies by region.
Cancel under Manage Subscription, which turns off auto-renewal; if you paid through Apple, cancel in the App Store instead. Deleting the account under Settings and Manage Account is permanent, removes matches and messages, and sends no confirmation email. Cancelling only the membership hides your profile, but your data is kept under the privacy policy.
Hinge, Bumble and Tinder are the usual comparisons. Hinge and Tinder also belong to Match Group, and while Expanded Discovery & Interaction is on, your Match profile can appear on group apps. Bumble is published by Bumble Holding Limited, outside the group. Tinder's Face Check keeps face data for the life of the account, whereas Match deletes its templates within 24 hours.
