About Bakso Simulator 2

Bakso Simulator 2 is Akhir Pekan Studio's first-person meatball-restaurant sim set in an Indonesian town — prep and serve eight-plus bakso recipes, hire and train staff, decorate the shop, and chase thieves, dine-and-dashers and Tuyul ghosts out with a bat — free on Android and, since June 25, 2026, on iOS, with optional ads and purchases from $0.49 to $10.99. Google Play's 18,400 reviews average 4.3 for the smooth play and the storytelling; the App Store has five ratings and two launch-week bug reports.

Bakso Simulator 2 Review: A Meatball Shop, a Town and a Ghost Problem

Prep, Cook, Serve — Then Kick the Tuyul Out of the Dining Room

The loop is a first-person kitchen: chop and boil ingredients, assemble bowls from more than eight recipes, serve, collect, and reinvest in the shop — floors, ceilings, roofs, decorations, bakso carts and the staff's outfits are all customisable. Staff are hired with their own backstories and trained for speed; the September 17, 2026 Play review that calls it the developer's best alongside Cafe Simulator 2 credits the storytelling and the breadth of things to do, and Akhir Pekan replied in the thread. The town outside has quirky NPCs, hidden secrets, mini-games, and a main story the listing describes as funny and supernatural, with side quests — two more added in version 3.2.5 on September 15. The troublemakers are the twist: thieves, dine-and-dashers, bratty kids and Tuyul, the child-ghost of Indonesian folklore, all dealt with using tools. The most-voted review, an August 16 five-star with nine votes, calls the gameplay incredibly smooth.

Optional Ads, Cheap Packs, a Bug or Two on iOS

The August 16 reviewer's second reason for five stars is that there are no mandatory ads — the ads are opt-in for extra money — and the wishes in the top reviews are quality-of-life rather than fixes: placing ingredients on tables and shelves to organise them, and a gardener staff member to water and harvest plants, from an August 14 five-star with eight votes. The two App Store reviews from launch week are the bug reports: a June 25 four-star from a fan of the studio's Laundry Simulator is stuck unable to buy food or upgrade a tool; a June 26 three-star cannot claim task rewards because of a loading-screen error and so cannot take new tasks. Both were on version 1.0; the app is now on 3.2.5, with Japanese added on September 17. Rated Teen on Play for violence, 13+ by Apple.

A 6.9: a warm, busy Indonesian shop sim that treats ads as optional, sells cosmetics for a dollar or two, and gives you a town and a ghost story on top of the kitchen. Take it if you like Cafe Simulator 2 or want a management game with a setting it actually believes in. Skip it if broad data sharing bothers you, or if you are on iOS and want a few more months of patches on record before trusting the rewards system.
