About Lost Twins 2

Lost Twins 2 is Playdew's tile-sliding puzzle adventure — twins Abi and Ben crossing a Ghibli-flavoured world by swapping the panels of each level to build paths, with no deaths, timers or enemies — on iOS since July 9, 2026 and Android since August, free to start with a $4.99 unlock. The reviews call it beautifully crafted and clever; they also report a level that will not unlock, touch controls short on precision and controller support that only jumps.

Lost Twins 2 Review: Slide the World to Reunite the Twins, $4.99 After Zone One

Move the World, Not the Twins

The mechanic is the sequel's inheritance: each level is a grid of tiles, and the puzzle is to slide them so that Abi and Ben — controlled one at a time, sometimes needing each other — can walk from panel to panel toward the exit. It is deliberately stress-free — no deaths, no timers, no enemies — with hidden paths, curios and concept art to collect and an original soundtrack meant to calm. The App Store reviews are cozy-puzzle fans: a July 12, 2026 five-star picked it up for the visuals and found polished, smart puzzles that got harder through the first zone while staying logical; an August 25 five-star calls it beautifully crafted, hooked from the beginning by the story and themes. A July 13 Play four-star praises the clean visuals and soothing music and finds some levels spotty. Rated 4+ and Everyone, English only, 449 MB on iOS 15 or newer, Android 11.

Zone 3, Level 7 Will Not Unlock; the Ninth Gate's Car Will Not Move

The bugs are specific and blocking. An August 12 App Store two-star is stuck at zone 3, level 7, which does not unlock although every previous level is complete; an August 7 three-star cannot move the car at the ninth gate of chapter 3; an August 5 one-star found progress gone the next day. Controls are the second thread: an August 16 two-star says the touch controls lack the precision some puzzles demand, adding stress to challenges that are hard enough; a July 16 two-star reports controller support that only jumps — left and right merely turn the character. On Android, an August 11 one-star crashes after the Unity logo on a 3 GB Moto G Play, and Playdew's reply says 3 GB may not be enough memory to start. Ratings are small: 3.6 from 14 on the App Store, 3.2 from 71 on Play with 10,000-plus installs.

Free First Zone, $4.99 to Unlock, Ads Flagged on iOS

The model is try-then-buy: the opening zone is free and Unlock Full Game costs $4.99 on the App Store, with a Coins Pack at $0.99 and a Discount Offer at $2.99 beside it; Google Play lists $0.99 to $4.99. Apple flags Advertising alongside the purchases, while Google Play shows no ads badge — so expect optional ads in the free portion on iPhone. Apple's tracking list is Usage Data not linked to you; Google's data-safety card lists App activity shared and nothing collected. Apple Silicon Macs run it. Prices are regional.

Pros

  • A tile-sliding puzzle mechanic where you rearrange the level itself
  • No deaths, timers or enemies — stress-free by design
  • Ghibli-inspired art and a soothing soundtrack praised in every review
  • Puzzles that ease in and stay logical as they harden, per July reviews
  • Free first zone, then one $4.99 unlock

Cons

  • A level that will not unlock and a gate car stuck, per August reviews
  • Touch controls short on precision for the harder puzzles
  • Controller support that only jumps, per a July review
  • Crashes at start-up on a 3 GB Android phone; progress lost overnight for one player

Verdict

A 6.6: a lovely, clever puzzle game sold honestly, with a port that in August 2026 could not promise you would reach the end — a locked level, a stuck car, a controller that will not walk. Take it if you want a calm, pretty brain-teaser and are happy to play on touch. Skip it until a patch confirms zone 3 opens, or if imprecise taps in a precision puzzle would sour it.

Gameplay7Clever world-shifting puzzles that scale well — until a bug blocks the path.
Controls5Imprecise touch in tight moves and a controller that walks nowhere.
Replay value5Curios, hidden paths and concept art; one solution per puzzle.
Graphics & sound8Storybook rooms full of detail and calm original music.
Monetisation8A free zone and a $4.99 unlock, with ads flagged on iOS.

Frequently asked questions

1

Can you play Lost Twins 2 offline?

The puzzles are single-player and need nothing online, but the store pages do not state offline support, Apple flags ads in the free portion, and an August 2026 reviewer lost progress overnight — a sync or save issue rather than a signal one. Unlock the full game and test airplane mode.

2

Is Lost Twins 2 free?

The first zone is. The rest is one purchase, Unlock Full Game at $4.99 on the App Store, with a $0.99 coins pack and a $2.99 discount offer beside it and the same range on Google Play. Ads are flagged on iOS, so expect some before you buy. Prices vary by region.

3

What phone do you need for Lost Twins 2?

iOS 15 or newer with 449 MB free, or Android 11 or newer — and, per Playdew's own reply to an August 2026 crash report, more than 3 GB of RAM on Android. A July reviewer found it laggy on a low-end phone. Apple Silicon Macs run it; a controller is claimed but, per a July review, only jumps.

4

Can you play Lost Twins 2 with friends?

No. The two characters are both yours — you switch between Abi and Ben — and there is no co-op, multiplayer or sharing on either store. It is a game to pass across a sofa when someone is stuck.

5

How long is Lost Twins 2?

Several zones of levels that harden gradually, a few minutes each when they click; a July 2026 reviewer had finished the first zone with the puzzles still logical, and an August reviewer plans to replay. Bugs at zone 3 have stopped some players earlier than the game intended.
