A match-three with a king to please: clear boards, earn stars, restore rooms of a palace, and survive timed obstacle levels where the king waits behind spikes. It carries no advertising badge on Google Play, sells coins from $0.99 to $19.99, and holds 3.8 million App Store ratings at 4.7 — the largest Apple sample of any puzzle game here.

A level gives a move count and a target — sixteen crowns and sixteen shields, four of something else — on a grid layered with wooden crates, gold blocks and dynamite tiles that clear in patterns. Special pieces come from matching four or five, and the combinations chain further than in most match-threes, which is why a level that looks impossible often resolves in two well-placed moves. The palace rooms restored between levels are the reward: a dining hall, a garden with a fountain, each unlocked with stars rather than money.
Between ordinary boards sit timed rescues: twelve seconds on the clock, a target of thirty-five out of forty tiles, and the king standing against a wall of spikes that closes as the timer runs. They are short, tense and completely different in feel from the matching underneath, and they are the reason people can describe this game to a friend at all. The rest of the structure is familiar — five lives, a level counter well past two hundred, tasks and events refreshed on a schedule.
Google Play carries no advertising badge, which is unusual for a free match-three and worth stating plainly: the money comes from coins and passes rather than from watching videos between levels. The App Store lists coin packages from $0.99 to $19.99, a royal pass at $9.99 and offer bundles between, on a 331.5 MB install rated 13+ for chat. The audience is enormous — 100 million Play installs, 4.6 stars from 10.7 million reviews, and 4.7 from 3.8 million App Store ratings, the largest Apple sample of any puzzle game here.

The best-produced match-three in this catalogue, and the one genuinely distinguishing decision is negative space: no advertising at all, in a genre built on it. The king rescues give the levels a rhythm, and the palace restoration is a better reward loop than most. Lives and coin packs still pace you, but nothing here interrupts a level to sell you something.

No. Levels, lives and progress are held on the server, so the game asks for a connection even for a single-player board. That is a step back from older match-threes, several of which play their levels offline and sync afterwards.
Coin packages from $0.99 to $19.99, a royal pass at $9.99 and periodic bundles. Coins buy lives, boosters and extra moves at the end of a failed level. There is no advertising to remove, because the game does not show any.
331.5 MB and a phone from the last several years. It is not demanding, and the art scales down cleanly — which matters for a game whose audience skews older and less likely to be on a current flagship.
Team events and leaderboards compare progress between players asynchronously, and teams pool contributions toward shared goals. There is no head-to-head mode; the competition is about who cleared more levels this week.
One to three minutes, with the timed king levels much shorter. Five lives is the natural stopping point, refilling over time — the same structure as every other match-three, minus the advertising that usually accompanies it.
