About Miga Town: My World

Miga Town: My World is free to download, but much of its cartoon city sits behind locks: the US App Store sells scenes in bundles from $0.99 for one to $4.99 for six, plus a $7.99 monthly VIP pass. Children drag characters between homes, shops and a gym with no score or timer, there are no third-party ads, and it plays offline. The catch is the paywall, which nearly a third of recent English Play reviews complain about.

Miga Town: My World Review: A Lively Dollhouse City, Sold a Scene at a Time

What the Free Map Covers, and What Each Lock Means

The game is built around one city map, and each building opens into a scene where characters and props are moved by dragging: an apartment, a restaurant kitchen, a 24-hour convenience store, a gym full of treadmills. Nothing is scored or timed. Players describe the free part as a home and a couple of shops, with the rest locked, although XiHe Digital flags some additions as free, such as a maternal-and-infant store in November 2025 and a three-story desert hotel in September 2025. Because paid buildings sit on the same map as free ones, the locks stay in view, and nearly a third of the 150 newest English Google Play reviews complain about locks or prices.

House Design Master and the Art Museum's Pixel Canvas

Building is where the game has grown most. The store screenshot captioned House Design Master shows a furniture tray with a category bar for placing and rearranging shelves, sofas and plants, and the High-Saturation Furniture Pack of March 2026 added coordinated sets. The August 2026 update opened an art museum with a pixel creation canvas for crafting accessories and objects, open to all players according to the release notes. Characters are the weak spot: residents can be restyled down to face, hair and makeup, but players keep asking for blank slots to build characters from scratch, which Toca Boca World offers through its Character Creator. A July 2026 review adds that wheelchairs don't move with their rider.

$0.99 to $7.99 a Month: Scene Bundles, VIP Pass and Play Pass

There are no third-party ads: Google Play shows no Contains ads label, and the privacy policy allows only cross-promotion of Miga's own and related companies' apps. US App Store prices don't scale neatly: one scene costs $0.99, three cost $2.99 and six cost $4.99, yet two cost $3.99. A $7.99 Monthly VIP pass sits above them with contents the listing never spells out, and Google Play prices items up to $69.99. The cheaper Android route is Google Play Pass, which unlocks every purchase and can be shared with up to five family members. Avatar World charges through coins and a $9.99 pass instead. Prices vary by region, so check the store.

Tencent Bugly, Unencrypted Data and a Policy That Never Names COPPA

Google Play marks the game Teacher Approved for ages 6 to 12, and the developer has committed to Google's Families Policy; Apple lists it as made for ages 9 to 11. The data labels disagree. Apple's lists only crash data not linked to the user. Google Play's Data safety lists device IDs, user IDs, installed apps and diagnostics for analytics, and says data isn't encrypted in transit and can't be deleted on request. The English privacy policy names Tencent's Bugly SDK, which can collect IMEI, IMSI and MAC addresses, lists Tencent as a recipient, carries no date and never mentions COPPA. The US App Store description links to a Chinese-language policy and terms governed by Chinese law instead. We don't call apps safe or unsafe; read the developer's policy before buying.

Pros

  • No third-party ads, and Google Play shows no Contains ads label
  • Plays without Wi-Fi; Google Play tags it as an offline game
  • New locations arrive almost monthly: 25 iOS builds in 14 months
  • Included in Google Play Pass with every purchase unlocked
  • Teacher Approved on Google Play for children aged 6 to 12
  • House Design Master tools let kids place and rearrange furniture freely

Cons

  • Most buildings are locked; scene bundles run $0.99 to $4.99, VIP $7.99 monthly
  • Data safety says data isn't encrypted in transit and can't be deleted
  • No blank character slots: only existing residents can be restyled
  • Some players report purchases vanishing, with Restore failing to bring them back

Verdict

We score it 6.7: the city is busy, ad-free, playable offline and still growing almost monthly, but much of it is sold in bundles and a $7.99 monthly VIP. It suits Android families who already pay for Google Play Pass, which unlocks everything, and children content to replay a few free scenes. Skip it if you won't buy content piecemeal, if a child will ask daily for locked buildings, or if unencrypted analytics data with no deletion route is a dealbreaker.

Frequently asked questions

1

Does Miga Town: My World work offline?

Yes. Google Play tags it as an offline game, and players report playing with no Wi-Fi at all. A connection is still needed for the large first download, for the near-monthly updates that add locations, and for buying scenes or restoring purchases through the store.

2

How much does it cost to unlock everything in Miga Town: My World?

Apple's listing shows bundles rather than one unlock-all price: $0.99 for one scene, $2.99 for three and $4.99 for six, next to a $7.99 Monthly VIP pass. Google Play lists items from $0.99 to $69.99. On Android, Google Play Pass includes the game with all purchases unlocked. Check current prices in the store; they vary by region.

3

How much storage does Miga Town: My World need?

About 1.1 GB on iPhone and iPad and roughly 750 MB on Android, so download it over Wi-Fi. It needs iOS 15.6 or Android 5.1 and later, runs on Macs with an M1 chip or newer under macOS 12.5, and Google Play also lists it for Windows PCs through Google Play Games.

4

Can you play Miga Town: My World with friends?

Not online. Google Play tags it as single player, and neither store listing mentions multiplayer, chat or friend lists, so playing together means sharing one tablet. That works for siblings telling one story, since there are no turns or scores to fight over.

5

How long does it take to finish Miga Town: My World?

It never finishes: there are no levels, scores or time limits. What runs out is free space. The App Store history shows 25 builds between July 2025 and September 2026, adding an airport, an Italian-style house, a courtyard and an art museum, though players say many new places arrive locked.
