Monster Hunter Outlanders: Three Betas, a Placeholder Date, No Launch Yet

What Capcom and TiMi Have Actually Announced

The game is a Capcom-licensed Monster Hunter built by Tencent's TiMi Studio Group, revealed late in 2024, with Proxima Beta as the Google Play publisher of record. Three closed betas have run: the first from November 27 to December 4, 2025 in Japan, Canada and the United States, the second in eleven countries in spring 2026, and a third starting August 7, 2026. Pre-registration opened on August 26, 2026 during gamescom, when TiMi revealed Ruger Aidal, the game's first original Elder Dragon. There is still no date: TiMi's accounts have called the store dates placeholders, and the App Store's December 15, 2026 is exactly that. The 2026 window is the only official commitment.

Seven Weapons, Four-Player Hunts and Aesoland

The store pages set out the shape of the game. Seven weapon types are in at launch — Great Sword, Long Sword, Dual Blades, Hammer, Lance, Heavy Bowgun and Bow — each paired with an Adventurer character that unlocks its own follow-up moves, with more weapons promised later. Hunts run solo or in squads of up to four, in a new continent called Aesoland with original monsters and the Radiant Species, environment-shaped variants exclusive to this game. Three Buddies — Palico, Rutaco and Trillan — travel with you. Pocket Tactics, which covered the second beta in April 2026, describes it as not a gacha game but with a character roster that is partly free and partly purchasable, and lists the beta hardware floor: a Snapdragon 845 with Android 12, or an iPhone XR with iOS 17.

A $99.99 Shop Before a Single Sale, and 3.7 GB

The pre-order listing already shows the economy: in-app purchases from $0.79 to $99.99 per item on Google Play, and on the App Store a $4.99 subscription plus a ladder of Exclusive Offers packs from $43.99 up to $99.99. Apple rates it 16+ and lists no advertising; Google's data-safety card says Device IDs may be shared with third parties and Personal info collected. The iOS build weighs 3.7 GB and asks for iOS 15 as a minimum, though the beta requirement was iPhone XR and iOS 17 — expect the real floor to sit closer to the beta. None of this is a review: nothing has been sold, balance can change before launch, and every price above is regional. When a store listing goes live for purchase, the page gets the buttons, the full review and a score.
