About Fever: Events & Tickets

Most Fever tickets are final sale: if your plans change, a cash refund needs the optional Flexible cancellation ticket, a 10% surcharge that is itself non-refundable. The app mixes the company's own productions, such as Candlelight concerts staged in more than 140 U.S. cities, with tickets it sells for outside organizers. The weak spot is service: 114 of the 199 newest English Play reviews give one or two stars, often over refunds.

Fever Review: Easy Nights Out, but Most Tickets Are Final Sale

Fever Originals, partner listings and how far the catalog reaches in the U.S.

Fever Originals, built by the company's in-house team, include Candlelight, The Jazz Room and Stranger Things: The Experience, co-produced with Netflix. Everything else belongs to outside organizers: under the Terms of Use, Fever is by default only the organizer's limited payment agent. On October 2, 2026, the New York top 10 put Candlelight next to venue-run attractions such as Mercer Labs and ARTE MUSEUM, plus 2027 Formula 1 tickets for Spain under a supply deal running through 2031. The store listing names 11 U.S. hubs, from New York to Seattle; smaller markets get less, and the Boise page offered 11 Candlelight programs, outdoor detective games and movie times.

Candlelight up close: 60 minutes, flameless candles and five price zones

Candlelight is the format most U.S. buyers meet first: its official site counts more than 140 U.S. cities and 1.5 million American attendees. For the Vivaldi program at St. Ignatius Church in San Francisco on January 8, 2027, seats came in five tiers, from Zone D at $30 to Front Row at $70, each with an 8% booking fee folded into the $32.40 headline price. The show runs 60 minutes with a string quartet, the candles are LED, and nobody is admitted once it starts. Guests must be at least 8. A Candle 3-Pack add-on, collected at the venue, is final once picked up. Prices vary by city and date.

Final sale, a 10% Flexible ticket and vouchers that only rebook the same show

The Terms of Use say tickets are not refundable, citing organizers' policies. If an event is postponed, moves venue or is canceled, you must contact support by the Monday after the original date to claim a voucher for the same show later or for the same amount elsewhere in the app. The only cash route is the Flexible cancellation ticket on selected events: it adds 10% at checkout, keeps that 10% when you cancel, and stops being refundable once transferred. Some events allow a date change, 48 hours ahead on the Candlelight page above, but an exchange voucher only rebooks the same experience. Refunds come up in 39 of the 114 recent low-star Play reviews.

App-only tickets, no resale and a 30-day arbitration opt-out

Some experiences admit only tickets shown in the app, and a transfer arrives as a link that makes the recipient install it and sign in; more than a dozen recent English Play reviews object. There is no resale route like Ticketmaster's or StubHub's, and the terms forbid using an account for resale. The store labels disagree: Google Play's Data safety form declares no third-party sharing, while Apple's privacy label lists purchases and identifiers as data used to track you, with the device ID used for third-party advertising. Disputes go to binding individual arbitration unless you mail an opt-out within 30 days. Since June 2025 the company has also owned DICE.

Pros

  • Booking fee shown per seat zone, 8% on the Candlelight page we checked
  • Candlelight runs in more than 140 U.S. cities, including smaller markets like Boise
  • Tickets transfer by link from the Tickets tab until the event starts
  • Fever Club Gold, reached on the third purchase, earns 50% more points than Bronze
  • Optional Flexible ticket refunds the full price minus its 10% surcharge

Cons

  • Most tickets are final sale; cancellations by organizers usually end in vouchers, not cash
  • Some events admit only in-app tickets, and transfer recipients must install the app
  • 114 of the 199 newest English Play reviews give one or two stars
  • Apple's privacy label lists purchases and identifiers as data used to track you

Verdict

We score Fever 7.0. Its own productions, led by Candlelight in more than 140 U.S. cities, reach smaller markets and show the booking fee up front, but most tickets are final sale and refund complaints dominate recent reviews. Take it for a Candlelight show or a big-city exhibition when you are sure of the date. Skip it, or pay for the Flexible ticket, if plans might change, and buy elsewhere if you may need to resell.

Core function8.0Own Candlelight shows in 140-plus U.S. cities plus partner listings, though smaller cities get a much thinner catalog.
Ease of use7.0Date filters, a map and fee-inclusive prices help, but refunds and most date changes go through support.
Monetisation6.0The app is free, but an 8% booking fee, final-sale tickets and a non-refundable 10% Flexible surcharge add up.
Performance6.5114 of the 199 newest English Play reviews give one or two stars, often over refunds and support.
Privacy & permissions6.5Apple's label lists purchases and identifiers used for tracking, while Google Play's form declares no third-party sharing.

Frequently asked questions

1

Can you get a refund on Fever tickets?

Usually not. Most tickets are final sale, and a cash refund for a change of plans needs the optional Flexible cancellation ticket, which adds 10% at checkout and keeps that 10% when you cancel. Without it, a canceled or postponed event earns a voucher if you ask by the Monday after the original date. Some events allow a date change up to 48 hours ahead.

2

How long is a Candlelight concert, and are the candles real?

A Candlelight concert lasts 60 to 65 minutes, and the candles are flameless LED lights. Doors open 45 minutes before the start, and late arrivals are not admitted. Guests must be at least 8 years old, with anyone under 16 accompanied by an adult. Programs vary by city, from Vivaldi's Four Seasons to Hans Zimmer scores.

3

How much are Fever booking fees?

On the San Francisco Candlelight page we checked, the booking fee was 8% of the seat price: $2.40 on a $30 seat and $5.60 on a $70 Front Row seat, already included in the headline price. Processing fees can also appear at the final checkout step. Prices vary by city and date and can change.

4

How do I delete my Fever account?

Open Profile, then Account Settings, then Delete Account, or ask support by email. Use or transfer upcoming tickets first: the help center says deletion erases all your data, including purchases. Fever Club points cannot move between accounts and expire one year after your last purchase.

5

Is Fever better than Ticketmaster or StubHub?

Only for timed experiences: Fever sells many of its own productions, such as Candlelight, while Ticketmaster covers most large U.S. concert and sports venues and StubHub is a resale marketplace. If you might not attend, that matters: Fever has no resale option, while both rivals let you list a ticket you can't use, subject to event rules.
