About TickPick: No Fee Tickets

TickPick charges buyers no service fee: the listed price is what you pay, apart from sales tax in some states and delivery fees. The New York resale marketplace, founded in 2011, takes a 15% commission from sellers instead, and sellers set every price. The catch: postponed events are not refunded, and 59 of 104 English Play reviews we read from after the July 2026 rebuild give one or two stars.

TickPick Review: No Buyer Fees, a 15% Seller Cut and Strict Refunds

Where the money comes from: a 15% seller commission, not buyer fees

Buyers pay the listed price plus sales tax where required (the help center lists 13 states, DC and Canada), $5 for local pickup or $10.99 to $15.99 for FedEx; charges can change, so check the total at checkout. The marketplace earns a standard 15% commission from sellers, and because sellers set every price, each decides whether to absorb that cut or build it into the asking price. SeatGeek and Ticketmaster also show all-in prices up front, so compare the final number on each site. The bidding system TickPick launched with in 2012 is gone; its help center now says prices cannot be negotiated.

Price Freeze and the 110% BestPrice Guarantee, read closely

Both features pay out in TickPick Credit, not cash. Price Freeze locks the current price on a tracked event at least two days away; it needs an account with a past purchase, allows one freeze at a time and expires two hours before the start. If prices rise and you buy anyway, the difference comes back as credit capped at $25 a ticket and $50 an order; availability is not guaranteed. The BestPrice Guarantee pays 110% of the gap when the same section, row and quantity is cheaper on another marketplace, proven by a timestamped checkout screenshot taken within two hours of ordering. Credits from those claims expire after 365 days, and the two offers cannot be combined.

BuyerTrust covers canceled events, not postponed ones

The BuyerTrust Guarantee promises authentic tickets delivered before the event, replacements of equal or better quality in an emergency, and a refund or credit if an event is canceled outright; the guarantee page leaves that choice to the company where the law allows. Canceled-event refunds are processed within 3 to 5 days of confirmation, and playoff games that never happen are refunded in full. Postponed or rescheduled shows are neither refunded nor exchanged: every sale is final, and the only exit is relisting. Mobile transfers from Ticketmaster, AXS or SeatGeek must be claimed in those apps, and some barcodes appear only 24 hours before the start. Invalid-ticket claims must reach support within 5 days of the event.

Selling: free listings, a 15% cut and payouts up to 14 days after the event

Listing costs nothing, but a card must stay on file: the company places an authorization of typically under $1 and can charge a seller whose tickets fail to arrive or scan. Payouts come up to 14 days after the event, by bank transfer, PayPal or Venmo, and only residents of the US and Canada can be paid. AutoPrice adjusts a listing at least daily above a floor you set, and AutoList copies it to other major marketplaces; once AutoList is on, the only way to stop it is deleting the listing. CreditBoost lets a seller give up 5% so the buyer receives that much in credit, on listings of $50 or more. Sellers in 2026 Play and App Store reviews complain of payouts that took three weeks or longer.

Verdict

We scored it 6.9 for no buyer fees, a 15% seller commission instead, and credit-backed BestPrice and Price Freeze offers. Take it for sports or concert tickets if you compare the final total with SeatGeek or Ticketmaster. The score drops for a July 2026 rebuild that Android reviewers call slow, bot checks that lock some users out, and no refunds for postponed shows. Skip it if your plans may change, or if you sell and need the money before the event.

Frequently asked questions

1

Does TickPick really have no fees?

Yes for buyers: there is no service fee, so the listed price is the ticket cost. Sales tax in some states, $5 local pickup and $10.99 to $15.99 FedEx delivery still apply. Sellers pay a 15% commission and set their prices. Charges can change, so check the checkout total.

2

How does TickPick Price Freeze work?

It locks today's price on a tracked event for accounts that have bought before. The event must be at least two days away, one freeze runs at a time, and it ends two hours before the start. If the price rises, the difference returns as credit, up to $25 per ticket and $50 per order.

3

Can you pay for TickPick tickets in installments?

Yes, through Klarna on eligible orders. Pay in 4 splits the total into four interest-free payments two weeks apart if you pay on time, and monthly financing is issued by WebBank. Klarna runs only a soft credit check and requires a US card, a US address and age 18 or older. Check Klarna's current terms first.

4

Can I get a refund on TickPick if I can't go?

No. All sales are final and postponed events are not refunded; only an officially canceled event or a playoff game that never happens brings a refund or credit. You can relist the tickets from the order page; the marketplace keeps 15% and pays you up to 14 days after the event.

5

Is TickPick legit?

It is an established resale marketplace, founded in New York in 2011, and every order carries the BuyerTrust Guarantee of authentic tickets delivered before the event, with a refund or credit if it is canceled. Independent sellers, mostly brokers, own the tickets. SeatGeek and Ticketmaster list many of the same seats with all-in prices, so compare final totals.
