Best Rhythm and Music Games on Mobile, Ranked
Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage is the best rhythm game on a phone: six difficulty tiers up to a three-finger Append level, and every song unlocks throug
The follow-up to Girls Band Party, published outside Japan by BILIBILI, puts its gacha odds in writing: an SSR Member drops at 3% per pull, a featured one at 0.5%, and 20 pulls cost 4,000 Stars. Five bands and 25 voiced characters share a 100-episode story and GEKISO LIVE rooms for up to five players. The catch is hardware: Android needs 6 GB of RAM, and the full download reaches about 8.2 GB.

Cards come in two kinds: Members, who make up the band you take into a live, and Snapshots, support cards slotted onto those Members. BILIBILI's rate notice from September 25 lists 3% for an SSR Member and 6% for an SSR Snapshot on a standard pull, with one SR-or-better slot in each 10-pull. On the MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica launch banners, each featured SSR Member is a 0.5% roll. Bushiroad valued 20 pulls at 4,000 Stars, so one pull is 200 Stars, and the $59.99 pack of 8,450 Stars buys about 42; US prices vary by region and can change. Launch week cushions this with 4,000 login Stars, 10 Gacha Tickets, guaranteed SR and SSR tickets and a first Mission Pass season, free because pre-registrations passed one million.
GEKISO LIVE matches up to five players in real time, and Bushiroad lists three variants: COMBO goes to the longest combo, JUST to the most accurate timing, and LUCK mixes chance with skill. GEKISO sections inside each song pay out score bursts. A lobby screenshot on the App Store shows four of five players ready and one song charted at 7, 14, 21 and 27 from Easy to Expert. Assist Mode lets a held finger count as a flick and adjusts how hard it protects your combo as you improve, while Live2D, MV and Lite views trade spectacle for frame rate. After the August beta, Bushiroad loosened judgment windows. Launch-week Google Play reviews still describe GEKISO matches ending in error screens or crashes, and some players report long notes missing on release.
The cast is MyGO!!!!!, Ave Mujica and Mugendai MewType from the anime, plus two bands created for this game, millsage and Ikka Dumb Rock!, five members each. MyGO!!!!! already plays in Girls Band Party, the 2017 game this one follows, but the bands that game built its story around are not part of this cast. Covers fill out the setlist: Ave Mujica takes A Cruel Angel's Thesis and Ikka Dumb Rock! takes Ikenai Taiyou, and five more, including Stellar Stellar and Fatal, were set to arrive one a day from September 25. The first event, built around Mugendai MewType's Yuno Sengoku, was scheduled for September 28, and update 1.0.2 added birthday events.
Bushiroad counts 20 episodes per band, 100 in all and roughly 24 hours of voiced scenes, plus Extra, Another and Bond stories, and chapters open as you progress. The hardware bar is higher than for Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage, which SEGA supports on a Snapdragon 845 with 4 GB of RAM. BILIBILI's Android floor is Android 10, a Snapdragon 865 and 6 GB, and on Apple devices an iPhone 11 on iOS 16; it advises 13 GB of free space. Accounts live on one of three servers, TW/HK/MO, Korea or EN, with no transfers, and Paid Stars bought through Apple or Google stay on that platform. Google Play's data safety form declares no data collected, while Apple's label lists purchases and identifiers used for tracking. On Google Play, BILIBILI said it is investigating Stars lost when a 10-pull crashed.

We score it 6.9. Published odds, five-player GEKISO LIVE rooms, Assist Mode and roughly 24 hours of voiced band stories earn the score; a 0.5% chance per featured SSR, a Snapdragon 865 and 6 GB Android floor and a launch week of connection errors hold it back. Take it if you follow MyGO!!!!! or Ave Mujica and want to play songs with friends in five-player rooms. Skip it on an older phone, if you need offline play, or if you came for the original Girls Band Party bands.

No. Your account and progress sit on one of three regional servers, TW/HK/MO, Korea or EN, and BILIBILI says data can't be moved between them once you start, so US players should pick EN. Launch-week reviews on Google Play describe the game dropping back to the title screen when the connection drops.
Partly. Members and Snapshots, the cards you build a band from, come from a gacha where an SSR Member is a 3% pull and each featured one 0.5%. A pull costs 200 Stars; 8,450 Stars sell for $59.99, and the 30-day Our Notes Pass costs $2.99 (Lite) or $19.99 (Premium) in the US, with regional prices differing. Some players say maxed cards beat full combos in versus play.
On Android, BILIBILI's minimum is Android 10 with a Snapdragon 865 or Dimensity 820 and 6 GB of RAM; it recommends a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and 8 GB. On Apple devices the floor is iOS 16, an iPhone 11 and 4 GB, with an iPhone 15 Pro recommended. The Android install of about 185 MB pulls 2.1 GB at first launch and 8.2 GB in full; keep 13 GB free.
Yes. GEKISO LIVE matches up to five players in real time, scored by combo count in COMBO, timing accuracy in JUST, or chance and skill in LUCK. Progress follows your account between iPhone and Android on the same server, but Paid Stars bought through Apple or Google stay on that platform. Free Stars carry over.
About 24 hours, by Bushiroad's count: 20 episodes for each of the five bands, 100 in total, and you can stop mid-episode and resume later. Chapters unlock as you progress rather than all at once. Between sessions, Studio Practice keeps collecting rewards while the game is closed, and higher practice levels raise the payout.
