NTE: Neverness to Everness is Hotta Studio's supernatural open-city RPG — Hethereau, a neon metropolis where you drive, buy a home and hunt Anomalies for a rundown antique shop called Eibon — free on iOS, Android, PC and PlayStation 5 since April 26, 2026. The gacha is unusually kind: an S-rank pull is always the banner character, no 50/50. The phone is the problem: 3.9 GB is only the first download, and a September 2026 review reports it demanding over 26 GB more.

NTE Review: The Fairest Gacha in Town Needs 26 GB of Your Phone

A City You Drive Through, Not a Map You Teleport Across

Hethereau is the point. You are the first unlicensed Anomaly Hunter working for Eibon, an antique shop that survives on Anomaly commissions, and the city around it is built to be lived in rather than crossed: cars you own and customise, a Ghost Train that cuts through Anomaly space, a purchasable home, Hankaku Street shops with seasonal stock, and a Bagel friends list for the people you meet. The tone is urban comedy — an otter named Taygedo with a romance crisis, a TV-headed repairman, a pawnshop that only opens on the full moon — with the Circle organisation and the Prophecies as the long arc. GamingBolt's Ravi Sinha scored it 7/10 in May 2026 — paranormal GTA, with easy story combat and an AI-looking billboard as the faults; five months in, the Play listing shows 5 million installs and 132,000 reviews at 4.6.

No 50/50: Every S-Rank Pull Is the Banner Character

The gacha rule that gets the game talked about is the missing coin flip. In most character gachas an S-rank pull has a 50% chance of being an off-banner character; in NTE, an S-rank is guaranteed to be the featured character, which an August 2026 Play review with the heading "Gacha with no 50/50" treats as the reason to stay. What replaces it is the duplicate ladder: copies are called Awakenings and grant Resonance Effects, and GamingBolt notes six duplicates add 15% damage — so the pressure moves from getting a character to getting them again when the meta shifts. Riftcrystal is the currency: the App Store lists it from 300 for $4.99 to 6,480 for $99.99, a Mining Permit at $4.99, and Hunter Supplies bundles at $9.99 and $19.99. 3.9 GB Is the Download, 26 GB Is the Game

The requirement that matters is storage. The App Store lists 3.9 GB, but that is the initial package: a September 12, 2026 Play review reports that after roughly 1 GB of install the game asked for more than 26 GB of additional space and refused to run with 24 GB free, and an August review with 23 helpful votes asks for a way to delete cutscenes and finished-chapter assets because the footprint keeps growing. The floors are iOS 15 and Android 10, with Bluetooth keyboard and mouse unsupported in the main menu per the same September review.
