Racing Master Review: Codemasters Handling, NetEase Gacha

120+ Licensed Cars, Eight Real Circuits, One Career That Stalled

The car list is the pitch: more than 120 licensed vehicles from over 30 manufacturers, scanned rather than approximated, from a 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 to a 2019 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, a 2017 Ford GT, a Ferrari F8 Tributo and an Audi RS7. Tracks are scanned too — Red Bull Ring, Indianapolis and Shanghai International Circuit among the F1 venues, plus street courses in Chicago, San Francisco, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Sicily and the Alps. Modes are real-time PvP, guild-versus-guild and tournaments on top of a story career, and that career is the first complaint: a July 2026 Play review from a months-long player says no new chapters have arrived since launch and the game has drifted toward upgrade grind. The North American listing, live since May 8, 2026, shows 500,000 installs and 11,800 reviews at 4.4.

Codemasters Physics, 60 FPS on a Galaxy S25 Ultra, Controller Support

Codemasters — the studio behind the F1 and DiRT Rally series — co-developed the handling, and NetEase's own description points to drive-system simulation down to low-speed ignition behaviour. Play reviewers back the feel: a May 2026 review with 31 helpful votes, from someone who says they had deleted every other phone racer within days, kept this one for the handling and car variety and reports no pay-to-win pressure; a July review describes maxed graphics at 60 FPS on a Galaxy S25 Ultra with a controller connected. The same July reviewer says the last update introduced lag and emulator-player prompts online, and an August review on a Razr 40 Ultra reports heavy stutter even at the lowest setting. The floor is generous on paper — Android 5.0, iOS 12 — but the 3.4 GB build and the scanned cars are made for phones from the last three years.

Gacha Cars, $99.99 Packs, Loot Boxes and Pop-Ups

Cars are not bought, they are pulled: NetEase's launch note describes a limited-time car pool with drop-rate boosts and handed out up to 300 pulls as launch rewards, and Apple flags Loot Boxes on the listing. Purchases run from $0.49 to $99.99 per item on Google Play; the App Store ladder shows Fortune Packs at $1.99, $4.99 and $9.99, a Weekly Card at $0.99, a Monthly Card at $4.99 and a Ruby Key Fund at $14.99. Neither store shows an advertising badge — the pressure comes from inside: a March 2026 review with 31 votes and the August Razr review both name the constant pop-ups, passes and events as the thing that makes the game feel cramped, and the March reviewer adds that good cars are hard to obtain. Google's data-safety card lists Location, Personal info and six other types collected, none shared. Prices are regional and the car pool rotates.
