Snowbreak: Containment Zone is Seasun's third-person gacha shooter — Unreal Engine 4 gunplay plus operative skills in a frozen city, cross-platform with PC — free on iOS and Android since July 2023 with BitGold from $0.99 to $99.99 and loot-box pulls. It rates 4.0 on the App Store and 3.0 on Google Play, and the 2026 story is the servers: the global version went dark on March 2 for 66 days, came back on May 8 with the Winds of Warmth update, and has not been updated since — players report replaced voice actors and toned-down art.

Snowbreak Review: A Good Gacha Shooter That Went Dark for 66 Days

Hybrid Combat: Real Guns, Divine Skills, a City Under Ice

The pitch was new in 2023 and still is: a third-person shooter with near-future firearms — rifles, shotguns, launchers with realistic handling — layered with RPG skills from Manifestations, operatives with the powers of gods and their own personalities, fighting Titans across Containment Zone Aleph, a city buried by the Descent. You are the Adjutant of Heimdall Force; missions, co-op modes and a base area called Arcaverse fill out the loop, and progress is shared with the PC and Steam versions. A July 2023 Play five-star with 112 votes called the concept something you cannot find elsewhere in the anime gacha scene; an October 2024 App Store five-star praises the visuals, mechanics and PC cross-play; a November 2025 five-star calls it the only gacha it still plays, balanced for two minutes a day or hours, with peak artwork and an engaging story.

March 2 to May 8, 2026: The Shutdown, and What Came Back

On March 2, 2026 Seasun closed the global servers for technical maintenance with no reopening date and no further explanation, after a collaboration controversy and censorship concerns and the game returned on May 8 — 66 days later — with the Winds of Warmth event. The App Store reviews since describe a different game: a September 14 three-star says the original voice actors were replaced, the artwork and skins were noticeably toned down, and the wedding and summer skins cannot be found; a June 28 three-star calls the censorship annoying; an August 24 one-star says the studio has cast it aside and there will be no more updates, and a September 16 one-star titles itself dead game. Both stores' last update is May 6–7, 2026, and an August 21 five-star asks only that the servers stay online. The older complaints persist underneath: drop rates and duplicates, and mobile controls a June 2024 three-star calls trash next to the Steam version.

BitGold to $99.99, Loot Boxes, 25 GB Installed, iOS 13 or Android 5.0

There are no ads. The App Store sells BitGold in six packs from $0.99 to $99.99 and flags Loot Boxes for the pulls; Google Play's range is the same. A January 2025 Play three-star explains why it stopped paying: multiple versions of the same character do not share outfits, so skins bought for one are wasted on the next. Data cards are light — Google lists nothing collected, Apple identifiers linked to you. The download is 3.7 GB on iOS, but a July 2026 reviewer measures the installed game at 25 GB, and a May 2025 four-star says the experience is only optimal on an iPad Pro with an M1 chip and 30 GB free — this is a PC-quality game in every way.
