Bluey's Quest for the Gold Pen Review: A Real Bluey Game, $14.99 Once, No Ads

King Goldie Horns, Bingoose and Nine Lands Designed by Mum

The premise is an episode stretched to a game: Bluey is drawing when Dad yoinks the Gold Pen and declares himself King Goldie Horns on his bike, Mum designs the strange distant lands, Bingo becomes her honking alter ego Bingoose, and the family sets off to get the pen back. Joe Brumm wrote it; the environments are hand-drawn in the style of the Escape and Dragon episodes. Play is a collectathon: nine lands of puzzles, treasures, mini-quests and lost critters to return home, with new mechanics — gliding, flying, skating — introduced level by level, and goose food collected to open the way forward. The two most-voted Google Play reviews, January 2026 with 190 and 152 votes, are adults: one loves the story and the Bingoose honking, the other, playing as a not-child, counts about eight hours casually and much more for 100 per cent and rates it worth much more than the official Bluey console game. Rated 4+ and Everyone, in 13 languages.

The Voice Update, an Xbox Button Mix-Up, and a Crash at 23 Seconds

The first request from the top review was voice acting for the age group, which Halfbrick said it could not fit at the time — and then shipped in June 2026 as version 1.1.8, adding the show's original English cast. The remaining criticisms are small and precise. An August 9 App Store four-star pairs an iPad with an Xbox controller and finds A used for most interactions but Y to start a conversation and A to continue, asking for remappable buttons. A December 2025 review worries the difficulty may exceed the preschool audience; a May 2026 reviewer 100-per-cented every treasure and wants DLC. The one hard failure is a July 10 Play two-star with 12 votes: crashes after 23 seconds, first to black, then to lines. Ratings: 4.6 from 57,379 on the App Store, 4.6 from 11,500 on Play with a million installs.

A 7.7: a genuine Bluey adventure — the creator's story, the show's art and now its voices — sold the way parents wish every children's game were sold, once and without ads. Take it if there is a Bluey fan in the house and $14.99 is a fair afternoon. Skip it if the fan is very young and will hit the lolly portal before you have decided, or if you wanted it free.
