Best Food Delivery and Restaurant Apps, Ranked

The chain's US app puts Mobile Order & Pay, McDelivery and the MyMcDonald's Rewards program behind one account, and several current deals, such as a weekly free medium fries with a $1 purchase, are app-only. Every eligible dollar earns 100 points. The catch: since May 4, 2026 a Big Mac costs 7,000 points, or $70 of spending, and points lapse after roughly six months.
Specs come from the official store listings and were last checked on 2026-10-01. Developers change pricing and requirements — check the store page before installing.
Each eligible dollar earns 100 points; taxes, bag fees, delivery fees and Arch Card top-ups earn nothing. On May 4, 2026 the reward menu was repriced: the McChicken and Cheeseburger moved from 1,500 to 2,000 points, medium fries from 3,000 to 3,500, and the Big Mac tier from 6,000 to 7,000, which puts a free Big Mac $70 of spending away. The best value is the new 4,000-point tier, $3 off any order of $3 or more, roughly 7.5% back on $40. Only one reward fits each order, a missed scan can be added from the receipt within 7 days, and points expire on the first day of the month after the sixth month; tiers can change.
With location on, ordering ahead appears within 5 miles of a participating restaurant. Pickup can be Curbside, Front Counter, Table Service or a Drive Thru code, switchable once on arrival. The card is charged when you tap Pay & Place Order; cancelling works only until the kitchen starts, and later refunds are up to the restaurant, since most locations belong to independent franchisees. Payment options are U.S.-issued Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Venmo and an in-app Arch Card balance, with no split payments. App-only deals ride on this flow: through October 4, 2026, free medium fries with a $1 purchase once a week; terms vary by location.
Ordering delivery inside the app is the only way to earn points on it, but the terms list a delivery fee, a service fee calculated on the pre-discount subtotal, a small order fee and sales tax, and warn that item prices can sit above pickup prices. None of those fees, nor the tip, earns points. You cannot choose the restaurant or courier: the app assigns both, Uber Eats or DoorDash carries the order, and their support handles refunds. Ordering the same meal in the Uber Eats or DoorDash apps earns no points and redeems no rewards. The weekly fries, the $2 breakfast sandwich and McValue app deals all exclude McDelivery.
Apple's privacy label says the app links precise location to your identity for analytics and personalization, may use location while closed, and may use contact info and identifiers to track you across other companies' apps. Google Play's Data safety form lists no location data at all, yet names device IDs and payment info as shared for advertising or marketing. The July 1, 2026 privacy statement says targeted-ad disclosures may count as a sale under some state laws and lists AI model training among its uses. The terms require users to be 18 despite a 4+ store rating, and 24 of the 150 newest English Play reviews (September 28 to October 1, 2026) said the Android app demanded Google Play age verification, then still refused to open.

We score the app 6.5: it unlocks app-only offers, from weekly free fries to $3-off rewards, but points buy less since May 2026, delivery can cost more than pickup, and recent Android reviews center on login and age-check lockouts. Take it if you pick up McDonald's weekly and redeem points before they lapse. Skip it for delivery, where fees eat the savings, or if precise location tracking bothers you.

7,000 points, which takes $70 of eligible spending at 100 points per dollar. The Big Mac tier rose from 6,000 points on May 4, 2026. Cheaper tiers start at 1,500 points for items such as Hash Browns or an Apple Pie, and 4,000 points buys $3 off an order of $3 or more. Tiers can change.
Mostly no. The weekly free medium fries offer, the $2 breakfast sandwich and the McValue app deals all exclude McDelivery. Rewards differ: you can add a reward to a McDelivery order placed in the app, but not to orders placed directly through DoorDash or Uber Eats, which also earn no points.
It can be. The delivery terms say item prices may be higher than for pickup, and orders carry a delivery fee, a service fee calculated on the pre-discount subtotal, a small order fee and sales tax. Amounts vary by restaurant. Fees and the tip earn no points.
Yes. Points expire on the first day of the month after the sixth month from when you earned them, so points earned in mid-January lapse on August 1. Deleting your account or opting out of the program voids the whole balance at once, and points cannot be transferred or cashed out.
It can. Apple's privacy label says precise and coarse location are linked to your identity and that the app may use location even when it is not open. You can switch location off in phone settings and pick a restaurant from the map instead. To limit sharing for targeted ads, submit a Do Not Sell or Share request.
