Felix the Reaper Review: Sokoban in the Shade for $4.99, With Slippery Tiles

Only Shadowed Tiles, a Sun You Can Turn, a Death to Arrange

Three rules make the game, and the listing states them: Felix may only stand on tiles in shadow; he can rotate the sun and push objects to cast new shadows; and each level ends when the designated human dies — by whatever chain of events the map sets up. It is a grid puzzle in the Hitman Go and Monument Valley family with Sokoban's box-pushing, and the studio wrapped it in dark comedy — Felix dances everywhere, in love with a woman he can only meet through his job. There are more than 50 levels, bonus levels to unlock and Time Attack variants for players who want the same puzzle against a clock. Kong Orange made it in 2019; Daedalic published iOS in July 2020 and Android on June 16, 2026. Rated Teen and 13+, 1.4 GB on iOS 12 or newer, Android 6.0 or newer.

Hard on Purpose, Fiddly by Accident

The Android reviews, 31 of them at 4.4 with 1,000-plus installs, describe two frustrations that are not the same. A June 18, 2026 three-star with three votes one chapter in, hates playing it because it makes them feel stupid; Daedalic's reply tells them to blame the developers instead. A June 26 three-star calls the game good and the controls terrible: it is easy to pick an unintended tile, frustrating on ordinary levels and worse in Time Attack, where precision achievements are on the line. A September 6 four-star hit a Google Play error 403 that the developer fixed within a day. The iOS listing is older and quieter — five ratings at 3.4, a 2020 five-star that calls it a good puzzler with crisp audio and a 2020 one-star crashing on the opening cutscene — and its August 27, 2026 update, version 1.22, was a Unity security fix rather than new content.

$3.99 on iPhone, $4.99 on Android, Nothing Else

The economy is two price tags. The App Store lists Felix the Reaper at $3.99, Google Play at $4.99, and neither shows an advertising badge or an in-app purchase — no hints for money, no level packs, no currency. Google's data-safety card lists nothing collected or shared, and Apple lists no tracking. Apple Silicon Macs run the iOS build. Daedalic Entertainment of Hamburg is the publisher of record on both stores, with support through its own address, and it answers Play reviews under its name. The Android version, 1.25, is newer than the iOS one, 1.22. Prices are regional.
