About Sword of Justice

Sword of Justice is NetEase's wuxia open-world MMORPG — the global Justice Mobile — with ray-traced Song-dynasty landscapes, a face editor, AI-driven NPCs you talk to freely, a manor with pets, 12-player raids and cross-play with PC, free on iOS and Android since November 4, 2025 with no ads and Ornate Jades from $0.99 to $99.99. It rates 4.5 on Google Play and 4.1 on the App Store. Fans call it the best MMO on iOS; the caveats are a story that hand-holds, a cluttered touch screen without controller support, and 21 GB installed.

Sword of Justice Review: A Ray-Traced Wuxia World on a Phone, With No Controller

Song-Dynasty Jianghu: Fly, Fish, Farm, Talk to NPCs Who Remember You

The world is the draw: a martial-arts China rendered with ray tracing on phones that support it, where you glide over rice terraces and pagoda towns, and the listing's promise is freedom — battle, explore, farm, fish, trade, build relationships, with no forced path. NPCs are AI-driven and remember what you did, so conversation is typed rather than picked from a menu. A precise face editor and a manor with pets round it out. The endgame is standard MMO: Season 1.3.1 on July 31, 2026 added the Evernight Haven storyline across three timelines, a 12-player raid against Chaos Behemoths and Liu Canghai, a six-player dungeon of illusion bosses. An August 7 App Store five-star calls it the best MMO on iOS, with an ocean of content for PvP, social and dungeon players alike; a November 7, 2025 five-star on an M4 iPad Pro with keyboard and mouse says it is one of the few mobile MMOs with proper controls that way.

Reads Like a Story, Plays Like a Cluttered Screen — and the Skin-Tone Gap

The strongest reservation is structure: a December 22, 2025 four-star loves flying around and the manor but finds the game so structured it is more like reading a story than playing one, passive and endless; a September 15, 2026 one-star, from the other side, could not find a way to auto-navigate to the next mission and was left to read the map. Controls are the second thread — a December 14 four-star hits the wrong button or misses on complex moves and wants controller support, a July 23, 2026 three-star hates how cluttered the screen is and asks the same. Launch bugs — cutscenes that stall and need restarting — fill November 2025 reviews, and a May 26, 2026 one-star warns of crashes it could not pin on device or connection. Two August 2026 reviews, a one-star and a three-star, ask for darker skin tones in a face editor that otherwise impresses.

No Ads, Jades to $99.99, Two Battle Passes — and Fans Who Say It Is Not Pay to Win

There are no ads. The App Store sells Ornate Jades from 60 for $0.99 to 6,480 for $99.99, a Monthly Pass at $4.99, a Basic Battle Pass at $9.99 and an Advanced one at $24.99, plus $0.29 treasure items; Google Play's range is $0.99 to $99.99, and Apple flags Loot Boxes. The Play changelog headline is No-Pay-to-Win, and the July 31 reviews agree: one says you can enjoy the content without feeling forced to spend, another writes NO p2w and no grinding, then admits good gear depends on RNG. Google's card lists nothing collected; Apple lists identifiers linked to you. The iOS download is 3.42 GB on iOS 14 or later, expanding to about 21 GB; Android needs 7.1; seven languages; rated 16+ and Teen. Play shows 1 million-plus installs at 4.5. Prices are regional.

Pros

  • A ray-traced wuxia open world with gliding, fishing, farming and a manor
  • AI-driven NPCs you talk to in your own words, and a precise face editor
  • 12-player raids, six-player dungeons and seasonal storylines with cross-play to PC
  • No ads, and free-to-play friendly by its July 2026 reviewers' account
  • Keyboard-and-mouse play on iPad that a reviewer calls proper MMO controls

Cons

  • So structured it reads like a story — passive, per a December four-star
  • Cluttered touch screen and no controller support, requested through 2026
  • Crashes and stalled cutscenes, with support one reviewer found unhelpful
  • Few dark skin tones in the face editor, 21 GB installed, weekly resource waits

Verdict

A 7.5: the most beautiful MMO on a phone and one of the most generous, with a world that lets you fish, fly and talk to NPCs in your own words — and a story that will not let go, a touch HUD that gets in the way, and a 21 GB footprint. Take it if you want a wuxia MMO with real freedom and friends, ideally on an iPad with a keyboard. Skip it if you want a controller, quick sessions, or a face editor with your skin tone.

Gameplay8Raids, dungeons, life skills and a manor in a world with real freedom — once the story lets go of your hand.
Controls6A crowded touch HUD that misses complex inputs; keyboard and mouse fix it, a pad would too.
Replay value8Seasons, an ocean of content for every player type, and NPCs who remember you.
Graphics & sound9Ray-traced rice fields, temples and silk — the best-looking MMO on a phone by its fans' word.
Monetisation7No ads, no pay-to-win by reviewers' account; jades to $99.99, two passes and loot boxes all the same.

Frequently asked questions

1

Can you play Sword of Justice offline?

No. It is a live MMORPG with a shared world, AI NPCs on NetEase's servers, raids, seasons and cross-play with the PC version; a May 2026 review's crashes were connection-tested precisely because everything is online. Download the 3.42 GB build on Wi-Fi and budget around 21 GB of storage for the full install.

2

Is Sword of Justice pay to win?

Its fans say no — the July 2026 reviews call it free-to-play friendly and one writes NO p2w, and the Play listing leads with No-Pay-to-Win — while admitting that good gear depends on RNG and weekly resources. The shop sells Ornate Jades from $0.99 to $99.99, a $4.99 monthly pass and battle passes at $9.99 and $24.99, with loot boxes flagged. Prices vary by region.

3

What phone do you need for Sword of Justice?

iOS 14 or newer, or Android 7.1 or newer, with about 21 GB free after the 3.42 GB download. The listed floors understate it: ray tracing needs a recent chip, and the reviews' best experiences are on an M4 iPad Pro with keyboard and mouse. There is no controller support on phone, per July 2026 reviews.

4

Can you play Sword of Justice with friends?

Yes — 12-player raids, six-player dungeons, PvP and the social systems an August 2026 reviewer praises are built for it, and cross-platform play links phone and PC players on the same servers. A guild or friend group is the way to run the Evernight Haven raid added in July.

5

How long does Sword of Justice take?

A December 2025 reviewer had six days in and had barely started; the story alone is dozens of hours, and a December four-star's complaint is that it just keeps going. After it, seasons add raids and storylines every few months and the manor, life skills and social play have no end. Weekly resource caps set the pace for gear, per a July 2026 review.
