The First Win Is a Tower-Defence Hook; the Game Is a Kingdom Builder

Century Games built the opening around a tower-defence layer that hands you a quick victory before the heavier strategy arrives — that is how Appfigures described the design in February 2026, and it matches the structure: after the siege tutorial you are a Governor managing a town, not a lane of turrets. The loop is resource gathering, upgrading defences, assigning survivor roles such as workers, hunters and chefs, keeping their health and happiness up, passing laws, and recruiting heroes into squads. Alliances are where the game actually lives, because the cross-kingdom events — Duel of the Elites pits the top 150 Governors by Power from each kingdom against one another during the Kingdom of Power preparation phase — are alliance-scale. Nothing here works offline: the town, the map and the events sit on live servers, and there is no single-player campaign beside them.

Kingdom of Power, Duel of the Elites and Blizzard Brawl

The August 2026 update (version 1.12.10 on iOS) shows what the endgame is built from. Kingdom of Power is the recurring cross-kingdom season: a preparation phase where kingdoms score Preparation Points, then the war itself. Duel of the Elites was added on top as a group battle for the 150 strongest Governors per kingdom, with point boosts for their side. Blizzard Brawl is a separate arena that matches Governors in Same-Gen or Cross-Gen fights on a changing battlefield. These modes are where the tower-defence opening gives way to the real system — troop power, hero levels and how much your alliance shows up — and they are also where the shop starts to matter, because Power is the only entry ticket to the top 150.

$99.99 Packs, a $4.99 Pass and the Ads Century Games Admits Are a Fragment

The Play listing prices purchases from $0.99 to $99.99 per item; Apple's list shows the ladder — Normal Pack 1 at $0.99 up to Normal Pack 16 at $99.99, a Regular Pass at $4.99, a Daily Worship bundle and a 7-day Daily Deal at the same price. Apple also flags Loot Boxes; the Play listing carries no advertising badge. The money is the story: Appfigures counted more than $500 million in net revenue in the first 11 months after the February 2025 launch, a $66 million December, and roughly 40% of it from the United States. The known grievance is the marketing. The most-upvoted Play review, from May 2025 with 2,770 helpful votes, calls the tower-defence adverts misleading and the game pay-to-win; in April 2026 Century Games replied that the ads show only a tiny portion of the game. Google's data-safety card says Personal info may be shared with third parties. Prices are regional and change with promotions.
