Blue Fire is Robi Studios' 2021 3D action-platformer — a small masked warrior dashing, wall-running and slashing through the fallen kingdom of Penumbra, with Void trials for players who want platforming at its cruellest — ported to Android in June 2026 as a $4.99 paid game with no ads or purchases. There is no iOS version. Its handful of Play reviews call it among the best ports to mobile and say the same thing twice: use a controller.
Specs come from the official store listings and were last checked on 2026-09-21. Developers change pricing and requirements — check the store page before installing.
The game is a 3D platformer in the Hollow Knight mood: a darkness has swallowed the kingdom of Penumbra, and you cross its ruined temples and sewers with a moveset that grows — dash, double jump, wall-run — through interconnected regions with hidden paths, relics and upgrades, fast combat against enemies and bosses, and the Void, a set of pure platforming gauntlets with a speed-run timer for those who want the hard version. Robi Studios shipped it on PC and consoles in 2021; the Android port arrived in June 2026. A July 26 Play five-star with six votes calls it a hidden gem and among the best ports to mobile — crisp graphics, challenging platforming, addictive exploration; a July 11 four-star praises the movement and exploration and notes with relief that this is not an asset flip made for Play Pass but a game with its own aesthetic. Rated Teen, it needs Android 8.0 or newer; Google Play lists no size.
The July 26 review draws the line: very difficult without a controller, playable on touch with some frustration, and with a pad a console-quality platformer with tight, responsive controls. The June 29 update reworked the touch layout, moved the speed-run timer, fixed gamepad navigation in menus, added automatic graphics optimisation for frame rate, and closed a crash in the Void Gates when teleporting to checkpoints. Two complaints survive it. The July 11 review crashes in the sewer area — hard enough to take other apps down with it — and only there. An August 27 three-star with two votes objects to spirits and orbs that roll off ledges instead of auto-collecting, to wall-clipping when jumping and dashing at the wrong camera angle, and above all to the camera axis speed; Robi's reply points to Camera Speed, Auto Adjust and Smooth Rotation sliders in the options. Ten thousand-plus installs, 150 reviews at 4.1.
The economy is a price. Google Play sells Blue Fire at $4.99 with no advertising badge and no in-app purchases — no currency, no boosters, no unlocks — and a July reviewer mentions it is also available through Play Pass, Google's subscription. The data-safety card lists App info and performance collected and shared, nothing more. What the port lacks is the other platform: there is no iOS version and none announced, so iPhone owners have the Steam and console releases instead. The store listing gives no version number beyond BlueFire_1.0 and no download size, and the developer answers reviews under its own name a week or two after they appear. Prices are regional.

A 7.2: a real console platformer sold for $4.99 with nothing else to buy, ported with care and patched in June, that wants two sticks a phone screen cannot fully provide. Take it if you own a controller and want precision platforming with a personality on Android. Skip it if you play touch-only, or if you are on iPhone — there is nothing for you here.
Yes — it is a paid single-player game with no ads, no online mode and only App info and performance on its data-safety card. Play Pass subscribers need Google Play to verify the subscription now and then; a bought copy has no such check.
No. It is $4.99 on Google Play, paid once, with no in-app purchases and no ads, or included with a Google Play Pass subscription per a July 2026 reviewer. There is no free trial. Prices vary by region.
An Android phone on 8.0 or newer — there is no iOS version. The June 2026 update added automatic graphics optimisation for frame rate. What reviews say you actually need is a Bluetooth controller: on touch the platforming is difficult, with a pad it plays like the console game.
No. It is a single-player platformer with no co-op, multiplayer or online leaderboards on the store page. The speed-run timer in the Void trials is for competing with yourself, or with friends by screenshot.
The 2021 game runs a dozen or so hours through its story and considerably more with every relic and Void trial; nothing in the Android reviews suggests cuts. Void gauntlets are short and repeatable, which is where the speed-run timer lives.
